I disagree with this. Sure it’s been 8 years since announcement but we had part 1 5 years after announcement, and part 2 is put this winter, a mere 3 years after part 1. I would say 5 years is average game development time, with 3 years being really quick. The issue which square never learns from is announcing things way to early. Most games announce when they are half way through so often have 1-3 years from announcement to release. Square alway announces a game when it has just started, which is dumb

In that case, I would definitely avoid it, unless you can put a good session in, people will lose interest quickly.

Another good one, but less story-driven is Deep Rock Galactic, Our group enjoyed it a lot, and it's very pick-up and play but almost nothing i the way of story/cutscenes

GTFO is similar, albeit a lot more punishing, missions or drops can take an hour or so to complete, with each rundown taking anywhere from 8-20 hours to complete, not a lot of story, and not easy.

Then you have Tom Clancy Franchises, like The Division & Ghost Recon: Wildlands, Both very much pick up and play, run through and do missions, plenty of story and chill

Man you gotta admit that's such a stretch haha
I'm annoyed at the comic for being so vague but it seems deliberately not specific
