I pre ordered cyberpunk. I gave it a chance. Fuck that game and fuck every developer that thought it was okay to release. I hope they are unemployed. I didn’t need “click rage” to decide it was trash. It was trash!

Loved replaying the Reignited Trilogy. My favourite remains the first game, but I enjoyed all of them.

Basically they wanted lots of money/ advertising rights for various companies to have press conferences at E3 proper so all three big publishers said fuck that and held their press conferences around the same time and still in LA but not actually part of E3.
Iirc from 2019, xbox, play station, Nintendo, Bethesda, square enix, and the PC games press conference were all held the week before. Those shows and the associated panels are the biggest draw of E3 and almost none of them showed up.

Context is important.
Some games are close to unplayable at launch, at least for some people. Some games have multiple game breaking bugs at launch, at least for some people.
Those games will likely be fixed within days or a couple of week, but if somebody pays full price for a game at launch, obviously they are going to be upset if the game is broken.
Some games repeat what other games have done before while offering a worse experience.
If I bought the patched version of such a game at a discount, my overall experience might be positive: but understandably, somebody who paid full-price and had issues with the game is going to be very unhappy.

Find a local barcade/vintage arcade and play Arkanoid until your fingers bleed.

I remember getting this for Christmas in 99. The excitement when I opened that gift has always stuck with me. Absolutely great game

You're literally posting this on a social media site that works as an echo chamber. If 60% of people feel a certain way it means that opinion is 100% of what you sew because the other 40% will be down voted to the bottom (or even just banned on a lot of subs).

Quite some time. And thanks to people like you playing defense for the corporations, they won't likely be pressured to do so in future. Great job, now things are worse for consumers! You're definitely playing for the right team lol.

I believe COVID killed E3, not the internet an Geoff.
We had E3 when the internet was plenty advanced for several years.
Side note though, how is Geoff permanently the gamer awards guy, like I don't hate him, but it's crazy to me how he gets these roles every single time. Makes me feel like he has some crazy background I don't know about.

I mean I am playing through The Forest. I am supposed to be trying to find my son, but really I am just murdering cute animals and cannibals to build my bone armor and arrow stash.

It such a great setup. Playstation gives you two free games a month so I got Rocket League free back in 2015. Probably the only free game I've gotten that I still casual play on.

Bug! was not a 1st party Sega game, I even had it on windows 95. Sega has Sonic, they weren't looking for a new mascot.

I was hesitant about purchasing, but grabbed it when it went on sale. I really like the gameplay but think it is overshadowed by all the dialog, and traversing around the grounds with a very awkward looking running mechanic. I find myself skipping almost all of the dialog so I can get to the next mission. Would have preferred a 80/20 gameplay to dialog ratio instead of the 50/50. Also think they could have used cinematic/cgi cut scenes to make them more appealing, especially the action cutscenes (I don’t mean during battle).

Means the last E3 with Sony was awful too. Who had good E3s? Ubisoft? EA? Even Xbox was ass.

Yeah but those are single player gamers. The original racing game was also single player/split screen but if they would make a remake it would probably have multiplayer added. Like what activision did with Crash team racing
