I'm sorry to hear that; the GameCube really did have an interesting catalogue of titles! I think the rarest GameCube games I ever owned (before selling them, of course) were the Phantasy Star 1+2 Special Edition and that Zelda Collection that they released.

Wow, that sounds very interesting and unique! Special editions and limited releases are probably among some of the toughest pieces to ever recover- I wonder of its value these days. I really wish the supply for all of these games and systems was much higher back in the day to avoid these extreme prices of today.

As someone that's playing through the original Dark Souls games, they're a bit too overrated. Love Sekiro, Bloodborne, Elden Ring and the Demon's Souls remake. I didn't like Dark Souls 1 that much, and I'm not liking Dark Souls 3 right now and I'd say I'm like 40% done. These boss fights suck (so far. 5 "gank" bosses in a row? So dumb). At least DS 1 bosses were good. Haven't tried 2 but I've heard it's the worst so I don't look forward to it.

You can downvote me now.

Edit: well now I've officially beaten DS 1 & 3. I will say with DS 3 it got much better later on. Just hate those few bosses. The Princes fight was amazing though. I definitely like and respect these games, but I'd still say Sekiro and Bloodborne are better imo.

Yah anime games are probably on that shit immediately. The idea of having an AI turn one sentence of dialog into 5 pages of bloat has to have all those publishers thrilled. They don't have to pay people to do it anymore. It's like a foundational principle of modern JRPGs and MMOs to just drone on and on. I remember playing Xenoblade Chronicles last year and there was 35 sentence dialog exchange about going down a hallway. Octopath Traveler 2 had one story sequence that was 17 cutscenes long. Don't even get me started on how Persona can have full blown 10 minute conversations that just reiterate something already discussed.

Hmm, that's an interesting question; when I think of owning an authentic, physical game I tend to hardly ever play them and really don't care about the value, so I suppose a custom-made copy would be feasibly worth my time- I know that Shantae for the GBC does indeed have those newer edition releases that WayForward created within the last 10 years or so, but still an authentic copy feels like a truly marvelous timepiece regardless of value and that special feeling would be hard to emulate through a custom creation unfortunately.

He’s built the necessary business connections through years of hard work in journalism to be able to put on successful events like this.

Let’s not pretend like that’s an easy thing to accomplish.

I think people really understate how difficult it is to maneuver the social aspect of business relations.
