Reply to Why do games nowadays have to be categorized either really good or really horrible? by mega_lova_nia
People don't log onto their accounts and waste time to type out " You know what? The game was pretty ok."

Reply to Are there any games that you've previously owned and regret selling since they're now too rare and expensive to ever buy back? by HopefulMyriad1
I miss some things from time to time as well, but you know, if you sell something there was usually a reason at the time and it helped at the time. Best to look forward I think and not drive oneself crazy with would have or could have or should have.

Yes, it means that something has a bad aftertaste. Here, a joke about cyberpunk reeks of GCJ (a toxic anti-nerd subreddit that hides behind a pro-lgbtq mask).

If you're a completionist, then playing any open-world RPG is just torturing yourself unless it's like a "best game of the decade" type of thing (Skyrim, Witcher 3, etc.).

If you're asking about games in general; Dragon Age, The Witcher 3 and Disco Elysium all come to mind. I feel like those three games deliver more compelling story, characters, worlds and play with tropes related to their respective genres in much more creative ways than ME does.
However, if you're asking me for games that are specifically in the sci-fi rpg genre, I'm admittedly drawing some blanks rn. Like maybe KOTOR? But even then that's so heavily based in the greater Star Wars lore that I think I'd give the nod to ME. Mass Effect is kind of the gold standard sci-fi RPG game. But I think that could be due to the fact that the Sci-fi rpg genre hasn't been as popular or as explored as Fantasy rpgs.

'Grandia' is one of the best RPGs of that era. Try to get it.

Fortnite though is that really a franchise? Just a few maps, loads of MTX and screaming kids. I'll pass.

I read that chat gpt can do D&D dungeon mastering with some direction from a person, so I think it could if given some parameters.

Literally doing the opposite. I don't think it's easy, but I don't see him having the skills to pay the bills.

I definitely get what you're saying.
I think a lot of the hype was related to Valve, and the game's worldbuilding. I personally find the lore more interesting than the game itself.

If it's already been discussed or irrelevant then I agree, but I personally enjoy good dialogue otherwise. I enjoy immersion the most in gaming.

Primal isn’t arguably better than anything. It’s a melee based game without a parry, dodge, or more attacks than “stab”. Undercooked hell scape of a game.

This reminds me of an old youtube video I had seen ages ago. It was called 'beating 10 year olds at call of duty' or something like that.
