There are multiple iterations of NCAA that are much better than 12. 13&14 are probably the peak and 05-09 were also pretty good (basing this off memory so forgive me).

5 for me, 6 was good but enjoyed 5 alot more as it was the first Far Cry since the first one I actually played till the end. Thought the series was pretty boring up until that point. I guess I'm just a sucker for cults.

Tone of game is more serious and less fun. Certain dialogue and characters are more reasonable instead of over the top campy. Inventory management annoyed me more this time around due to certain tweaks. I thought the side quest system was sophomorically included and didn't add anything other than filler fluff and so may as well not have been there.

I prefer the sillier over the top tone of the original.

Regardless, it's my opinion. Based on my preferences and that's all I was expressing. You're under no obligation to agree or even be willing to see my points, though it's nice of you to inquire. Luckily we're all able to have differing opinions on trivial bullshit like video games without it having any impact on one anothers' lives. We can all just go on enjoying what we do or don't enjoy.

I really enjoy GTA but am I little worried since the Dr. Dre dlc that was really just celeb name dropping and a bunch of cut scenes. As of late they seem to be lacking in the charm (snark) that the franchise is known for.

I prefer new IP. Remakes are cool for games that you can’t play on modern consoles but for games I could just boot up my Xbox for, it’s a waste of time.

There was a community project to bring it to English, pretty sure part 1 is done. Its only for the emulator I think.

This War of Mine - It's clinical depression the game, but mechanically great, and the stories are incredibly engaging.

Doesn't make any sense as to why you think this game is less fun than the original. They improved on everything can you provide actual input as to why it's "clearly" less fun because the vast majority would disagree

This is true, but you have to also realize that generation grew up on video games are way more open about their kids playing video games today than ever before. In a way, gaming is main stream and with that the mystique is long gone.
