Ngl, it’s been so long since I seen a dang Gameboy. Really takes me back. Plus, uh, OP. Everyone knows Pokémon Blue was the better one! 😤

Sounds a lot like my reaction a couple years ago after beating Persona 5 and Nier: Automata back to back. In my case, I was kind of ruined on gaming as a whole for a while after that, they both felt like they were on a different level and everything else would be a letdown. And when I did get back into games, I almost had to go towards the complete opposite, playing either accidentally bad games, "so bad it's good" games like No More Heroes, or just low player effort games like tower defense stuff, Dynasty Warriors, Tony Hawk, Need for Speed, Borderlands, or (ironically) Diablo. Just stuff I could veg out to that was obviously not even aiming to be among the AAA best, so I could avoid the comparisons and just take the games for what they were, usually dumb fun.

Light and heavy attacks, dude. Whether you believe it or not, they are classified as different attacks, whether the motion is the same or not. I agreed with you the melee alone is shallow. It's not supposed to be deep. I think you're missing that Far Cry games are sandbox games first. You are dropped into a world with a variety of tools and you need to get shit done. Melee was just one of the variety of tools in Primal. One tool. Use the others in tandem and you might actually smile for once in your clearly sad life.

RDR2 is on the Mount Rushmore of games

Cyberpunk would be my distant second choice from this list. I liked it a lot, that isn’t an insult. RDR2 though… it’s so good
