You’re just 363 days early.

Makes sense, because one side of the dune is sand that was recently dropped there by wind, while the other side is sand that once had sand dropped on it by wind and has been compressed by that sand's weight.

In Dune I read that one side of a dune is soft, the other much firmer. This seems consistent with that.

>dromedary
You realize that a Dromedary is STILL a Camel right? It's a type of camel so the commentator is still correct in a sense. It's also the most common and well known type of camel.

Technically, it's one of three species of camel. Also known as the dromedary camel, Arabian camel, or one-humped camel. Additionally, of the three camel species, one is near extinct, and the dromedary camel makes up 94% of the existing overall camel population. It's the default camel.
(I'm not smart. TIL about the name dromedary. I just wikipedia.)

Camel just minimising his silhouette as he crests the ridge. He's not going to get sniped till he knows it's clear.
