That's like cats that like baths. they have always done it, it does not hurt so lets do it.

Our cat, which we've had about three years since a kitten, is the only cat I know that likes belly scratches. Doesn't resist, doesn't scratch. Just lets us hold her like a baby and purrs.

My old boy does this! I like to say, “Scratch, scratch, lick, lick” He is a goofy 15 year old boy and can’t reach all the spots anymore.

I've seen the licking thing from many cats.

That is extremely impressive. It’s really interesting how he moved everything with (seemingly) the most emotional value to the side and left the cat dreaming as the focal point. Thanks for sharing!

Gah, why couldn't this be a photo of an attractive young woman with a painting she made instead?

I know this story. You only told half of it. Allow me to finish.
"Then viciously attacks them. The end."

My friend has a male cat that he made lay in his lap so he could scratch his chest. Th cat hated it but was forced into it. After a while the cat got to thinking hey this is pretty good. He would jump in the lap of people he knew roll over for scratches.

This, you can teach them to be gentle. Cats don't realize we have thin human skin, cat skin is tough! After awhile I could gently tap my cat's paws if she was getting too much with the claws, usually while kneading, and she'd lighten up or wait to let me put something thicker between her claws and my skin. She was a smart kitty and I miss her.

I would imagine neck injuries are far more likely doing a "Deadman" stunt then doing a fall into a properly inflated airbag. Again not a stunt man just a guess

Cats also have extra skin on their underside to protect them during fights with other cats. It often makes them look fat, but that's just a protective layer of skin. Your other cat is safe from disembowelment as long as they have that.
