I have HD600 + BTR5 + Android phone

  • AptX - listenable

  • LDAC 660 - good

  • LDAC 990 - great

  • USB + direct access (UAPP player), bypassing system mixer - well, now we're talking. Much, much better than BT, probably because of bypassing system mixer. Basically different league

Sidenotes:

  • On cheaper headphones, e.g. HD598, difference is slim
  • I still use it via BT on the go
