Use oratory1990's PDF. they both use data from the same database, but AutoEQ uses a formula to automate converting that data into the Harman OE target, while Oratory1990 listens to each headphones and does each EQ by hand.

Little to no difference in sound between 2 cables that function as intended in 99% of consumer applications

May I refer you to a test comparing professional cables to a coat hanger, where the results were pretty inconclusive of any audible difference ; https://www.soundguys.com/cable-myths-reviving-the-coathanger-test-23553/

(note that roughly 1/3 said the coat hanger sounded better and 1/3 said the cable sounded better)

Is there a difference? Yes but it's very minor and possibly inaudible, If there's already diminishing returns when comparing a coat hanger to an actual cable that tells you all you really need to know

This isnt to say to completely cheap out on cables either but there's no needs to be spend $100s or $1000s on snake oil cables

if you want a nice custom cable there's plenty of makers around and that'll run you around $80-150 depending on seller and terminations and such . Recommendation from me if you go that route is fogcityaudio on etsy

So i got the DT 700 PRO X. The sound seems a little bit darker than DT 770, with less treble, but a lot more detail. It sounds definitively better than my vmoda m100 for genres like metal (i listen 90% to black metal, prog metal, mathcore). Isolation is better than DT 770. Also its way easier to drive. Weirdly enough its louder on my smart phone than on my ipad pro. I already have an fiio amp (e12) which i really dont need as i bought it for my dt 770 (i note i wrecked my 3.5 mm of the dt 770 so isnt usable anymore) but it adds a little bit of power on my ipad. Gets very loud on my laptop. Comfort and build - i dont think i have much to add. Its even more comfortable than dt 770 ( even w glasses) and the design is a clear upgrade. I plan them to use mainly at home, but consider taking them when using public transport. Also i should add bass is simply marvellous. But i dont like too much bass, as some music i listen is already bass haevy (for example Frontierer. album example i tried them at the beginning: Frontierer - Oxidized, Slice the Cake - Odyssey to the West, Agalloch - The Mantle, Opeth - Blackwater Park, Dillinger Escape Plan - Option Paralysis, Katatonia - Brave Murder Day, and the bass test lol Electric Wizard - Dopethrone).

Criticism: The mini xlr connector digs into your shoulder depending on position. But thats it.

Really wanted to love the hipdac but had to send it back as I'd plug it in to charge overnight and it'd still be flat in the morning, not sure why but it killed it for me. Looks like you've got a nice view and a good setup though, bit jealous, enjoy.

I bought them on Dankpod's recommendation too, they were my first ever proper full-sized HPs. I absolutely loved them, very detailed sound signature, excellent soundstage and directional imaging. I used to use them for hours and hours to end. But they are too much for me nowadays and I can't listen to them without EQing (pretty cool how our tastes change). They would instantly destroy my eardrums once I put very fast and bright songs on them it's crazy. I don't think being sensitive to trebles make us audiophiles elitists, it's just us having a preference. The term may work better on the peeps that believe in those expensive TOTL DACs, amps and c*bles snake oil stuffs.

If you ever feel the harshness of the trebs people here all raves about, you can stuff a layer or two of TP behind the fabric ear pads as filters and it works pretty well taming them. Surprisingly these cans actually have pretty boosted and punchy fun bass once you unshelve the right end of them! The vocals come across cleanly too despite the filters. They also react well to eq, I tuned mine really aggressively and they don't distort at all.

And lastly congrats on your new entry to the hobby, it's only getting better from here.

As long as the cable isn’t too expensive it will make some difference but only if your headphones are detailed enough to tell. A super expensive cable makes no sense since headphones don’t cost that much to begin with. Better to spend your money somewhere else. My headphones are around $500 and I can tell a very clear difference in digital cables so an analog cable with that big of a difference in specs should be pretty noticeable.
