I had a similar experience with the Focal Clear which seems to use the same design.

Couldn’t do more than 20 minutes or so before the hotspot right on the top of my head was just too uncomfortable.

Could look for something like the ZMF pilot pad people use to improve comfort.

mmm bro the salnotes zero, chu, cadenza etc. literally costs less (?) what you don't understand of what i'm trying to say is the t2 were considered the best for its price a couple years ago, but today, 20$ IEMs are better than what it was a couple years ago, even better than the t2. so don't think too shallow and think that we want the newest things with the highest cost, it may be just you that think that way.

LOVE mine. But you need to listen to them for a bit to appreciate them. They may sound harsh or fatiguing at first. Get used to them. I adore mine. Total bliss when listening with my eyes closed. Can hear EVERY detail of the song.

Planars do that for me. It feels like removing cotton balls out of my ears. Even the Hifiman HE 560 does that for me, although the mids are a bit dry for my taste. But that’s not to say that only planars do that. The Sennheiser HD 700 also does that even though it has dynamic drivers. And as others have mentioned, the HD 800 also does that.

Can I suggest trying out some EQ if you haven't already? I'm still blown away by how good my K702s are once I add just a tiny bit of EQ. Just reducing the peak at around 2000 Hz by a few dB makes a world of difference to them. It smoothens them out so much and makes them punch way above their price bracket. I personally used Crinacles Auto-EQ on his graph comparison tool as I like the bit of extra bass it adds, but just taking 3-5dB out of the 2k Hz region does 90% of the work.

The 770 pro are high impedance, so the voltage(2v on SE) gets saturated and the amp is clipping. You would be better off using balanced on the KA3 with those HPs, though modding of the headphones is required to achieve that. Or get something with more power(higher max voltage, imo 4V at least) to pair with your HPs.
