Sorry but what do you mean by GAS/FOLO?

Maybe you need some time to get used to its sound, if you still don't like it just sell it. I used to think HD600 was bad after owning DT1990 pro, after I've tried out more headphones that I realised how good HD600 is.

Basic? K702 is sensational headphone. The best for classical and piano. Only hd 800s surpass them

I recommend spiral dot tips to everyone, they were the biggest improvement to comfort and the sound of my Blon Bl-03’s. Final Audio E series tips are great as well but the fit of the spiral dots makes a lot of IEM’s sit more flush in the ears so they’re the ones I always put on first

Like the other comment says it’s just a 60% I found on Amazon EPOMAKER SK61. I just swapped the letters to black keys

Reply to Upgraded PC audio by beardedtomato971
After twiddling my thumbs for a few months and my old headphones annoying me, I decided to pull the trigger on a new audio set-up for my PC. What helped with the decision is comparing my gaming headset to families HD598/HD800 and realising how much I was missing out on. Old headset was a sennheiser gsp300. Initial clamping force of the hd6xx gave headaches, but after a few days they have loosened up nicely, very comfortable for hours long sessions.

It absolutely does not end at 560s lol. Reddit has a hard on for “cheap is endgame nonsense”. Go for focal clear as a significant step up from 560s

Thanks for the review. Say if someone is looking for a fun and beater iem to take outside for commuting, would you recommend these or the OG one?

HD800s. Its incredible. Otherwise you will keep buying mid grade headphones and not like them. Why do that?

The K3 is fine. No noticeable noise floor or weird noises at 60-80% on balanced output. Bass boost is clear. I bought the XS new for like $400. (I said $500 as reference price). Maybe i just had high expectations due the reviews and comments, But it's definetly better than m50x, like... everything. bass extension, mids, highs, soundstage, comfort. the sibilance and bright is gone compared with what i feel on m50x. But i think was just that. too high expectation.

I feel you, I "sold" (almost gave away) my old pair of starfields to my bro (with a Bluetooth adapter), he lost the left earpiece in a month, basically driving them useless, a couple of months later I lended that same brother my hibi fc3 dac, he broke the 3.5mm input and now it's useless..
therealbrookthecook t1_j277jsn wrote
You need to drive them balanced and not single ended~ as well as try another amp~

You will never find a „perfect“ pair of headphones because it doesn’t exist. Taste (and ear shapes) are really individual and expectation is also a huge factor. If someone tells you that a certain headphone you have hasn’t got a lot of resolution you might believe it even if it’s not true.
It’s about making compromises and knowing your own taste.

Reply to comment by [deleted] in HD800s earpad shootout. From left to right: DEKONI SHEEPSKIN vs ZMF LAMBSKIN vs OEM VELOUR …… the winner is … ZMF. Extra softness, a hint of extra bass, no clampy by ostuniman
ZMF is 17mm thickness. Dekoni is 25mm. Ideally a leather with 14mm would be perfect for me.

After wearing the ZMF for a few hours, it feel more snug than the velour but less clampy than deknoi. Its a great middle ground.

If the headphone upgrade in sound isn’t enough, then buying further would be worse.
You have enough mW to drive the headphone already. You could try a discrete amp like Schiit Asgard 3. It should widen the sound stage a bit and provide warmer/thicker sound.
Not sure if you’d think spending another $300 is worth it though. 😂
I’d suggest give it a few days. When you’ve adjusted your M50X for so long.
If anything, I think you’d rather like V shape planar. Same clarity and separation but with emphasis on bass. M1060C/1070C should do the trick for much cheaper.

The 660s have insane imaging and better soundstage than the 6XX, and the 660s are more detailed. The 660s is still a laid back relaxing sound and sound quite a bit warmer than the 560s which I like very much. The music also has depth and body to it which I found missing in the 560s

The edition XS is basically same headphone but using stealth magnets which give it more bass but a bit less soundstage. Ananda has good bass but is lacking sub bass. You can also find both of these headphones second hand for alot cheaper than on their retail websites.

Can you compare/contrast the differences? I didn't like the 6XX. They are nice, and I'm sure people love them, and maybe someday part of my arsenal, but different category. But I assume 660 is much different

Also. Never said his amp wasn’t enough to drive, lol. Options my man. I’d exhaust all possible options before giving up. Or do just that
