EQ helps with the treble issues, but everything else I agree. It's has too many issues.

I bought a pair of KSC75 on a whim since they were on sale, and started to laugh when I realized that they sounded better, haha. No bass is really the only downside to their sound, but everything else is good.

Honestly, if you're going to get Sennies, just get HD600 Marble. Actually good headphone, though overpriced.

Meanwhile I bought Ananda, EQ'd it a little, realized how inferior the 6XX was in pretty much every way, and never really used them again. Well, I do sometimes out of curiosity, then I hear the extremely muddy bass with no control, the recessed treble, the completely closed-in soundstage, and go "Oh right, this is why I don't listen to these," and go back to my Ananda.

They are a beginner trap, because they sound better than the usual commercial garbage.

Got a pair of Focal Radiance recently paired with Topping DX7 Pro. I am loving this setup.. only complaint is the price of the Focal replacement pads. :( Other than that, perfect. Sounds similar to Focal Celestee but just better in a way I cannot tell. Coming from only open backs, this is a nice pair to switch things up.

As far as my ears can tell yea, they're identical. I just tested by plugging and unplugging with my phone and aside from deafening myself because I went the wrong way while I was trying to volume match, I couldn't tell the difference.

Tested using Qobuz playing at 24-Bit, 44.1kHz with Moondrop Blessing 2 on the 2.5mm balanced connection.

I've never heard of these Headphones. Where are they from and whats their sound like?

Does your Fire have Problems streaming to the fosi? Mine is bugging down heavily when I try to use my external HiBy DAC and Tidal MQA...

Still rocking this setup and proud of it. Some day I’ll upgrade the headphone. But the electronics are fantastic; no need to change those.

This will be unpopular opinion at Reddit since everyone here think loud enough is loud enough.

But from my experience driving Mad Dog, I own Dragonfly Red (dongle), O2/SDAC, Violectric V200. Mad Dog sounded the best on O2/SDAC in my opinion.

People might argue it's all in your head because you anticipate more cost = better. Well V200 cost the most and it's not the best pairing in my opinion.

People might argue well maybe you like this DAC/amp more so you think it sound better, well my favourite dac/amp is Dragonfly Red for a longgggggggg time and it sounded absolutely TERRIBLE with Mad Dog. Same experience with LCD-2C where Dragonfly Red is just terrible. But on most Denon/Fostex headphone I just LOVE the Dragonfly Red.

So I would actually say K3 is most likely not enough to power it properly similar to Dragonfly Red since both are USB powered. Maybe try a FiiO K7 which is currently one of the better price per performance dac/amp.

Again I based this on my listening experience with no guarantee your experience will be the same, but this is my best guess.

EDIT: Oh and try all the gain setting, quite often low gain at the same volume actually doesn't sound the same at high gain same volume. In theory it should be the same but in actuality it doesn't.

That looks sick, actually.

A lot of "say thanks" going on, but if "he won't be around forever", and you don't actually want the headset (personally, I'd still try it out and keep it around for playing on Xbox or whatever) then it would be infinitely better if you said, "Thanks, but there's actually a different headphone that I wanted - could you return this one and help me start a savings account? We could both get nice headphones, and you could show me some albums you used to be into, have a sort of listening party."

I love the Denon. Yet to find a genre, that they don't sound great on!

For Metallica it's a tie at the moment between it and the Sony but I think the Sony will get a little ahead when balanced...

The base though on the Denon is unbelievable pleasing without sacrificing the highs or bleeding into the treble.

I absolutely stoked about them at the moment...
