I generally allocate my headphones to different rooms, with that allocation occasionally changing. I find that moving headphones between rooms is too much of a hassle, so I just have different setups in each room, and choose which room I want to be in. It works both ways: if I want to listen in the living room where my wife usually is, then I'm listening to either the Hifiman R7DX or the Sennheiser HD6xx, because that's where they live, and if I want to listen to a specific headphone, then I'll go to where that headphone is. In the home office, I have my SR-L700mk2, Aeon 2 Closed, and Sundara. In my computer room, I have the Shangri-La Jr and a second R7DX.
As for picking which headphone in a room to use, it's sometimes based on practicality (like how much noise is there in the background), often it's based on preference (my SGL Jr gets the vast majority of listening time at my computer desk because I like it the best), and sometimes it's based on laziness, like sometimes I'll use my R7DX simply because I don't feel like waiting for my estat amp to warm up. And other times it's just for variety, like I want to feel a different flavor today. I don't divide up my time based on music or genre, all of my music is played on all of my headphones, and I enjoy the different flavors that each headphone imparts upon the music. As an analogy, I love eggs, and fried eggs are my favorite, but sometimes I like them poached, and occasionally I'll have them scrambled; I usually season them with salt and pepper, but sometimes I like them with soy sauce or hot sauce too.

No. Several hundred random people surveyed across the world with varying ages and hearing experiences. Both trained and untrained listeners.

Iâm sorry man, it hurts and sucks so much. My dad passed when I was 8yo, and he was only 46yo. This was a looong time ago so the pain has passed long ago, and it will for you too, it just takes time.

No, it actually isnât worse than on my DT990s, but itâs also like 7 times the price. I am pretty sure itâs the swivel mechanism but itâs not that bad. On my head itâs perfectly silent.

Its a mix of non fps games too. It sounds good. The main reason I got HD800s was the loose fitting. Not clampy. It feels like nothing on my head.

recently switched from a magni 3 / modi 2 stack to the Fiio K7, along with snagging my first pair of enthusiast IEMs so i figured id give my uneducated opinion on both
first with the K7, its great honestly. i dont use any of the output features, just as an all in one amp dac so keep that in mind. in my opinion it sounds slightly better than the schiit stack, along with being more convenient for my personal setup. no RCAs and not as tall.
now onto the Salnotes Zero. decided to just try them out as i havenât had IEMs in years, and my first impressions are pretty good. theyâre not gonna have you floating feeling like youâre ascending into heaven, but for $20 theyâre really solid and a good introduction for people getting into the hobby. solid bass response and generally sound pretty clear.

Please tell me more, I've been intrigued by the AKG 7 series and currently have HD560S. Why did you choose the 702 instead of the 712? Do you EQ? Why do you prefer the 702 over the HD560S?

Thatâs an interesting idea. I never considered who contributed to the Harman target. I assumed audiophiles/headphone enthusiasts but maybe thatâs not true?
