Awesome! I just did the same, except with S12 Pros. I find an EQ helps this a lot. I'm still trying out various tips. The 2 pin UTWS5 fits the s12 well, but I find I have to keep adjusting the UTWS5 once on my ear for a few seconds, before I get it right, comfort wise.

Coming from a Blessing 2 (which I'm still using, but wired), this is still a good enough combo for wireless use, around the home and while commuting.

I just picked these up today. They seems fast and accurate with good detail.

To my ears, the mids are all too pronounced. The bright treble is bright, but survivable - but with the mids pushed as they are, the combination is, as you put it "a bit shouty"

i like them, but they are a bit clinical - the bass pacey and accurate, but under represented in the overall sound - they dont quite hit hard enough down stairs.

would be interested in your other budget ideas. I'm a BLON guy - but looking for slightly better build and fit.

Yeah I have issues like that as well, maybe drivers are crashing and i have to unplug it and plug it back in a few times and then it usually works. Or sometimes when I'm switching between BT and USB the sound starts stuttering a bit and I have to restart it. But for the most part it works fine.

I have a few of some would call “Summit Fi” and most of them are Open Backs and still some closed backs and IEM’s sound very good as well but would still go with a open back myself.

I think you can look at all the graphs you want but I do not think they will tell how they sound by the graph. What I mean is Grado sound like Grado’s and Sennheiser sounds like a Sennheiser’s and not sure a graph can tell you which other than knowing the the headphone specific response could you tell I don’t think it accounts for tone.

I mean if the limiting factor for your enjoyment is how quiet the room is, technically speaking, even non-"summit-fi" options will also sound better in this hypothetical room, too.

So the poll should include moving out and living on your own. ;)

It really depends on what I’m doin! If I’m at my computer or something I’ll just keep them on. I’ve gotten used to the lack of sound over the years. It was really jarring the first time I used Active Noise cancelling so the passive of closed backs really worked for me whenever I needed quick isolation.
