AirPod are notoriously easy to fake. Check your local Facebook market place. I guarantee you’ll find dozens of people selling “new sealed aipods” for $90. Half of them will have the wrong name for the wrong model of headphone.

I honestly wouldn't touch a website with an interface like that with a 10 foot pole.

I wouldn't trust anything after I've seen fakes indistinguishable from the original. The box, papers, literally everything the same it even has ANC and noise canceling and shows the battery when close to the iPhone.

I think the Xbox requires some kind of authentication chip for USB audio devices, which is why there are separate Xbox and Playstation models of many gaming headsets. You'll wanna get one of the gaming-oriented DACs mentioned here that specifically have Xbox support.

The other option is optical out from either TV or HDMI splitter, and then connecting just the microphone to the controller. But apparently that can have issues with in-game voice chat being routed to the controller instead of the HDMI output, not sure if there's a workaround or fix since I don't have an Xbox.

Have them since mid October, so barely 3 months. The paint is in pristine condition, but just today I noticed the right bud sounding quieter than the left. Will try swapping the filter and praying.

Update: No idea what it was, but I tried switching to the stock cable, the issue disappeared, then went back to my Altea and the issue is still gone. Maybe it was a weird connection, but I already replugged the buds - now hoping that it doesn't come back.

Update 2: It came back, swapped the filter, everything's great again now.
