Yeah, I got that. I was more so trying to point out that the 660s improved on some of the "shortcomings" of the 650/600 (e.g., soundstage, imaging, instrument separation, and perceived detail retrieval) in attempt to assure you in your 660S over other 6x0 headphones.

Of course that's all imo.

Did you find the Sundara to have recessed vocals as well?

HD660s with a BTR5 and he sat listened to the entire Back to Black album by Amy (which sounds amazing on these) didn’t move an inch. Very pissed when I had to put them away. Thankfully I keep these in a locked cabinet so he won’t go grab these when he wants to listen on his own.

I had them, sold them. Personal opinion, HD600 is better. Clearer sounding, more sparkly and more balanced. HD660S sounds too muddy, goo-y, like you're in a square room with walls covered in sound deadening material. Maybe in purely vocal tracks HD660S could better but I preferred HD600 as it's a more versatile headphone.

Truth to be told, I was choosing between Sundara and HD660s at the time, and chose the latter for its strength. Overall, I am not complaining about the headphone, it's great, but just saying what I am lacking in general.

Both Sony and Audio Technica make wired earphones with ANC, they seem to be more popular in Asia, they sell some in other markets but it seems to be limited to one or two models. Some sellers on Amazon list wired some earphones as noise cancelling but the ANC may only work with certain media players and cellphones. I think B&O had some ANC earphones in their Beoplay line.

I bought several pairs same years ago, put them in the drawer and forget about them.
Today i found them again and out of boredom i put them in my ears.

These are some realy nice sounding inears. Unfortunately the cable is rubbish but the biggest problem is the fitting. I´m not a big fan of inears, because i have to put them very deep into my ear canal :(

You'll probably get used to it. When in ear headphones first became popular a few decades ago, many people had difficulty with hearing their own footsteps, pulse, voice etc including me. If you ignore it your brain tunes it out as useless info, bear in mind how popular IEMs and wireless buds are compared to traditional style earphones that don't have that effect.

I'm going to give it an honest try at getting used to it and not jump the gun. I do have mic monitoring on and it certainly helps but the vibration of my voice is quite strong as well. I'd say they're about almost equal in terms of volume level and that leads it into this weird thing of the voice mirror and vibration in my ears to compete.
