Fam, the X65 doesn't have bass because it's 10dB lower than what is perceived neutral bass shelf according to Harman. And coupled with its forward leaning upper midrange and Treble/air regions... Of course it's gonna sound bright on any solid state DAC/AMP... Better slap on some EQ or get a better tuned headphone.

Sorry if I'm coming off as aggressive😅🤝🏾 u/entivoo...

I can send you some Parametric EQ Preset to test it out

But they sell mostly hamborgars - so they are a fast food restaurant. Same for Moondrop, they sell mostly Chifi entry-level products, so they're mostly an entry-level focused company who makes one or two pricier products, which is why I'd say they're moslty an entry-level focused company.

Honestly I wouldn’t be able to compare since these would be my first IEM’s. But from my understanding is the number of drivers and them being molded for your ear makes them better, you literally have to get molds of your ears so they can 3D print the shells of the IEM. 64 Audio has different models for different sounds. I chose these (A6T) cuz their supposed to be the sweet spot and they were recommended for gaming.

yep.. he has audiophilia now (can tell by the focused stare he is embarked in). but its ok, its manageable when caught at a young age. there is tons of information out there for this condition. He will do well with proper guidance and role models.

you can try HQplayer (it has a free trial) and upsample a music file with an apodizing filter. Some recordings have analog-digital conversion errors baked in that can cause treble glare/harshness, which apodizing upsampling should fix. Try it out and see if it goes away!

Impulse function is a signal that contains information for all frequencies from 0 to infinity. Since it contains this information, we give this as input to the headphone. The headphone then gives an output (which the OP posted). Now, we transform this output from time domain to frequency domain to see the frequency response of the headphone.

I've used all five different crossfeed-settings, changing up up every once in a while. I usually like it on 2, just enough to get it sounding more natural while keeping most of the soundstage alive. Too much crossfeed just makes the stage too narrow for my tastes.

Honestly I'm curious if the sound of really expensive IEMs is THAT much better than some more budget options e.g. I have Moondrop aria snow editions and I really enjoy the sound but how much better would some of these be compared to those?
(Not really an Audiophile so sorry if this sounds very dumb to ask xD)
