Yeah.
The drivers are circles. Tangents on a circle point in literally every direction on a plane.
Omnidirectional. It's just another way of saying "circular".
Duh.

I've never heard the HD660S, but bought a used HD700 with the intention of running them with Oratory1990's EQ setting, because of:
- low unit-to-unit variation
- low measurement variation depending on the placement on the head
- sound doesn't change that much with pad wear (reportedly HD6XX series pads change the sound after just a year).
That did not work with my K702, my unit had a different placement of peaks and dips in the FR. I settled on a bass shelf with them and was happy, though they do get fatiguing after a while.
With HD700 it worked well and the sound is very good. Has the non-fatiguing tonal balance of K371 but with more sparkle and soundstage.

What is your source? Don't want to splurge on a Ifi Zen or that Qudelix thingamajig to power them.

Yeah but this one is especially bad.
This kit is legit a $5-$10 USD mouse, keyboard and headset and they are selling them for $150 USD, the claims they make about this product too, it's absolutely ridiculous !!!

yeah, DD drivers in IEMs are usually around that size. Now compare that to a tribrid like the Moondrop Variations where the 10mm DD is just one of 5 drivers and it becomes clear what type of headphone tommy is selling you here :D

This is the biggest scam I've seen a company do in quite some time.
How is this even legal?

Ltt measured these and they tried to tune them to be so bass heavy that there was literally no mids, upper mids, or top end. It was no joke the worst measurements I have ever seen. https://youtu.be/5WJak0Y7X80 (27:33 is the measurements)

They are the endgame until you hear a AKG K702 and get stunned by the soundstage or Sundara/Edition Xs and kneel to their sub bass and detail 😂

From what I understand, the Link buds (like the OG AirPods) are a loose enough fit that it’s basically the same effect as this. I don’t think the issue is fitting it in the ear as much as keeping it in the ear when running. Which would be why these are directed to runners.
Bose solved this but maybe is sitting on the patent — wingtips (“StayHere+”) that anchor the bud in the fleshy part of the ear. Their “soundsport” headphone used to be a loose ear bud style that used the wingtips, but now they only sell the wingtips in IEM models. I don’t think they win any audiophile awards, but those were spectacularly comfortable headphones. I bought them twice and managed to lose them twice (I have no idea how, I just don’t know where they are).

I tried many amps and none where enough power to drive them with good volume when I wanted. That topping tops out at 51 mW at 300 ohms while the Magni puts out 410 mW at the same ohm. Huge difference in power. In fact, the Magni puts out more power at 600 ohms reaching 215 mW.

Reply to Dac/amp for ps5! What’s your set up? by GodlyShotz
i found a steelseries nova pro open box for 85$ on amazon, im using the dac without the headset lol this is mostly because xbox is very picky about the dac, but it works decently with ps5 too (both of my consoles are wired usb to the dac and it works flawlessly)

Reply to comment by 46simracer in Does anyone know the sound quality of these? (Soundcoure By Anker Space Q45) by 46simracer
A couple of months now. I shave my head so the 2 day stubble is probably scraping the band. I like the sound in these better than the Q30. I got the Q30 2 yrs ago and they're still going strong. If you commute the ANC is very good for sub $300 cans. I did have to use the EQ to bring the highs down a bit, otherwise artists like Florence & the Machine and Metric were too piercing.
