IEMs are really a personal fit item! I've had good luck with some cheap IEMs with a long name:

MEElectronics Sport-Fi M6 Noise-Isolating In-Ear Headphones with Memory Wire (Clear)

They are super cheap, and surprisingly good sound, but their key characteristic is they also stick in my ears very well when I run or walk. Might be worth a try, not much risk if they don't work for you.

Do you think HD600 are that much noticeably better than HD660/HD6XX? I'd like to buy either one of them, but not sure if HD600/HD660 are worth x2 the price of HD6XX. On the other hand I have HD215 and been using them almost every day for 15 years (built better than a tank), so I think that even if I consider HD600 to be expensive, they may be worth the investment.

I've tried to do A/B tests with various PC sound output options, and I agree the difference with external DAC/amps borders on imperceptible. I do use a pretty expensive Monolith DAC/amp unit as my daily driver, but it's mostly because the money is already spent, and the connectivity options (XLR and 1/4") match better with the cables, on which my money is also already spent. So "why not". But when I've switched to mobo output, or when I've transitioned from mobo output to a Fiio K3, I've struggled mightily to detect any difference. I also used a GoXLR Mini for a while and was happy with that (I'd still be using it, if not for issues with audio cutting out intermittently).

One thing I would recommend is price out all these mods, and then look at what that money could get you in a set of IEMs or TWS. While you may not go down that route, I think it's good to know what the opportunity cost is and make sure that the end result is the best use of your money for your wants/needs.

Ya as I said do try the straight white tips.provided on the box. They sound awesome with them.

The bass is improved, the soundstage is improved, mids are bought front too. Highly suggested trying them!!

They seem to be a copy of the dunu s&s tips.

Anything with small bore keeps the bass boomy and imonit overpowers in many tracks. With these the bass is crisp and clear.

I have zero temptation with tube amps, (a) because I have very limited desk space with which to luxuriate in audio processing gadgets, and (b) because I have a cat who's a bit of a moron at the best of times, I don't need a scorching hot bulb drawing him in like a moth to flame.

not a question, just a compliment to you! It is good to find the end of the journey and its even better when you feel that you are now content and happy to be there. So, congrats lad, a good time for you and I'm very happy for you! Always remember, nobody else can say what is the endgame to you, just you, and when you found it, don't be ashamed of it, be PROUD! and above all, be happy in it!

B stock are new products that a company sells at a partial discount due to minor cosmetic flaws. You can get discounts on a lot of electronics this way. Regardless, even paying full price the Atom DAC is worth it and JDS has the best customer service I’ve ever seen from a company. I had a Schiit Modi previously but sold it because the Atom+ is one of the few DACs that works seamlessly with the PS5 (with their adapter cable).
