I'm not really into their clothes either but it just happens their socks are pretty good and cheap. For the wallet they had tons of different configurations so you could find exactly your preference. Sunglasses are prescription so I did a lot of comparing.

I think many brands have a quite large variance in quality and price. Two big ones are Adidas and especially Nike in my opinion. When it comes to audio products Audio-technica has THE affordable microphone but at least the headphones I've had were fundamentally flawed and snapped just by normal wear. That seemed like a common problem, too.

I don't think many expensive luxury brands are good quality in general but more about looks and style. What I've seen Prada at least would fit in this category.

I felt the same way the first 2 or 3 times I tried autoEQ profiles (I kept coming back to it because it was so strongly commended, but every time was revulsed that it sounded "wrong" and uninstalled again). What eventually converted me was that I got treble fatigue after a few days of using the HD800S, a headphone that I otherwise absolutely adored. That was only as self-diagnosis, but I'd experienced something similar with the analytic pads on the DT1990, and both of them have spikes at 10khz. So I set it to Harman to get rid of anything "weird", and was initially just grateful that the ear pain didn't come back.

Now I'm used to it, and deviations from Harman are what sound off to me (sometimes Peace resets to a flat EQ, and I'll notice immediately that something is wrong). I don't feel too strongly that it's better sounding, I think it's mostly an issue of the sound you're used to.

I've also grown to like Harman on other headphones, but an exception is the 7hz Timeless. I don't know why it's an exception since I like Harman everywhere else, but I think they go from being exceptional to sounding like ass.

Yes! I wasn't expecting much from a pair of speakers costing half as much as my headphones, but oh boy was I wrong. This waveguide thing is pure magic.

Paired with a sub those puppies simply crushed my HD-600 and devoured it's mutilated remains for breakfast.

I will keep an open mind, but I remember some friends who were into the east-coast rap in the 90s that sported these clothes. When I saw them up close, the quality and the stitching didn't match the commanded price for their clothes. These are of course opinion on value since it's a luxury brand so my opinions should be taken with a grain of salt!

Is the paper mod placed inside the cups? Then I’d imagine that would decrease clarity. Anyway maybe they sound the same but the guy shows measurements of before and after so there is a measurable difference.

You of course can copy his method with similar materials if you like. 😇

Ah, not even close. The HD600 is a professional industry standard. Not true of Senny’s cheaper consumer phones. HD600s scale up on good amps like nobody’s business. Also not true with Senny’s consumer models.
