I just got mine today I'm pleased with the overall package, the cable is decent for a $19 iem and the little pouch is ok as well. They sounded surprisingly good, after hearing a few reviews I was worried they would sound bad but honestly I prefer these over the 7hz Zero.

Hello friend, I am really sorry for what happened to your IEMs. Have you tried asking for help to the brand? I gotta say I've had no issues with the 2-PIN version, instead I am loving it so far.
I think you ran into a faulty unit (I think), even though I cannot speak for the MMCX version as I do not have it (I hate MMCX, just fyi ahaha).
The Kimura has always been on my watchlist, so I'll definitely read your review once it comes out.

Yeah Mahavishnu Orchestra is a fusion band (so jazz and rock mixed) from the early 70s. Listening to them got me into prog weirdly enough. And then from there prog metal.

Listen to a $200 headphone EQ’d to harman and then listen to a $2000 headphone EQ’d to harman and your question will be answered.

Or a AntLion modmic.
I belive you are having problems running your setup over one BT device. Seperating them in to two devices. One for low latency stereo. And one for hi-res mic quality.
The penrose use two lanes of 2.4Ghz BT 5.0 in the headsett.
Or just ad a modmic to your preferrd headsett.
Lol. Ment to put this in reply. Sry. Big glass of whiskey😎

I bought these and returned them. I strongly recommend staying away from this product. The cheap mmcx connectors pulled the center pin out of my CA Polaris 2s and I'm going to have to have them repaired.
I also had random disconnects using the 3.5 TRRS plug into the PS5 controller the very first night I used them.
The mic quality was good. The cable was nice and supple and seemed of good quality. I would have been happy had I not had problems right away. They must have used bargain bin mmcx connectors. Even the mmcx connection they used for the mic seemed finicky.
I ended up buying the Antlion Kimura. It's a much better product than the Gramr and it didn't ruin my expensive iems. I might write up a similar review to the above on it when I get the time.

I'm new to this hobby, I was also attracted to the Sundara because of the many good reviews and positive word of mouth, but, I've now heard way too many horror stories about their quality control. I read that one shop stopped selling them because they lost faith after too many returns. They really need to tackle this. Personally, I like to spend my free time pursuing my hobbies, not the warranty department of a company that doesn't seem to be able to get its shit together. From what I've seen it SEEMS like you have a 50\50 chance of a lemon with Hifiman, perhaps that should be highwayman? Those odds just aren't good enough, at least for me...

So I picked these up the other day. They are new but was in a display at a store. Cables and accessory’s was still sealed with full warranty. Got them for 1000 Canadian. I’ve never spent this kind of money on headphones before. For gaming I’ve had the Astro a50 Gen 4 and Epos h6pro open. For music I have a pair of shp9500 that I never use. I mostly just use my AirPod pro 2 for music at the gym-work.
So fair I like the gx for both music and gaming and that’s what I was hoping for. I listened to Pearl jam ten album for the 1000s time and it never sounded so good. They are very neutral to my ears, highs are not piercing and lows are not overbearing and muddy. I have no issues with comfort but I bet my ears will get warm in the summer.
Now as far as powering them it’s just from my iPhone or Xbox-ps5 controller - gaming laptop headphone jack. For music would I get better sound using my denon 4700h headphone jack and airplay from my iPhone? I tried this and it did not sound as clean but it felt much warmer. I was using the pure direct mode on the amp at the time. Also should I use the better quality cables with no mic for music? Any info would be great!

Better for a product with questionable QC to come broken than to have it die after the return period or even worse, after the measly 1 year warranty period.
I would not take the chances again if you're even remotely worried about QC

I don't know if 'better' is the right word. The kph30i sounds different than the porta pros. Both sound great just in different ways. The porta pros are more mid and warm, or some say dark. The kph30i seem to be a bit more lively with more emphasis on the treble.
I can't pick one over the other. I think I love both equally. But the PP's definitely have the advantage over the kph30i when it comes to build quality. Both are extremely lightweight, but the plastic of the kph30i can get ya in trouble if you open them up extremely wide.

Man, so it's not like Aria-level bubbling away and flaking pieces off? I'm trying to accept wear and tear, I just am really hesitant of the paint just melting away from use

Yeah, my paints chipped a bit. I wouldn't say it's SUPER bad or anything. I've had mine for a few months, and notice just on the sharp corners there's def some wear on the paint there
I wouldn't say it's troublesome. Pretty standard wear and tear. And for the $30 I got them for, I can't really be upset at that. I absolutely love them

Setup: Moondrop Blessing 2 with my old Pixel 2 XL running a (completely) neutered LineageOS just for PowerAmp and Wavelet to emulate a DAP.
Disclaimer: I'm an audio noob so I can only go as in-depth as my very limited knowledge goes (but I'm still learning). Coming from budget IEMs like the Moondrop Chu, TinHifi T2 (and several KZ IEMs in the past), I've finally caved and gotten my first IEM over $50 after eyeing them for 2 years.
The Chu and T2 have been my daily driver for the past 6-ish months and 3 years respectively, and have served me well. But recently I've delved back into my collection of Cpop and Kpop after adding some newer additions to it, and found something missing that I couldn't put my finger on. Originally I was leaning towards the Aria but they didn't seem like a true upgrade from the Chu's, so I bit the bullet on the Blessing 2's. Right off the bat, I notice the difference in soundstage (I believe that's the term), where I could separate the different instruments in the background, and the vocals were more 'forward' as opposed to blending in with everything. Mind you I've never really used full on headphones before unless you count the Sony WH-1000XM2 which was waaayyyyy to bass heavy. I'm still listening and learning the terminology and the Blessing 2's themselves and what they're capable of, but the below are some of the stark differences I've noticed.
-
IU's My Sea at 3:54, the high note did not sound harsh and leave my ears ringing like with the Chu, the strings could be differentiated and came off less muffled, and IU's voice was more 'forward'.
-
IU's famous E5,F5,F#5 in Good Day at 3:25 - the Blessing 2's did not comes off a little harsh and ringing again with like the Chu and the T2, the strings and brass could be differentiated more clearly throughout the entire song,
-
IU's Love Poem at her higher notes would come off a little muffled and ringing on the Chu and T2, but on the Blessing 2's, it sounds less muffled and doesn't leave my ears ringing a little towards the middle/end of the song.
-
Taeyeon's 11;11 come off warm (I believe that's the term) compared to both the Chu and T2 for me without EQ (and slightly warmer when EQ'd), and the instruments and bass are a little more defined and fun.
-
Sondia's Grown Ups/Adult - the Blessing 2's soundstage is very apparent in this song with all of the instruments being very well defined and not blending together, from the 3:00 mark where the song comes off more energetic and impactful, it's not fatiguing to the ears on the Blessing versus the Chu and T2.
-
Polyphia's Playing God comes off more fun, and I could practically feel the guitar strings vibrating in my ears. The song sounds good on the Chu, okay on the T2, but much more enjoyable on the Blessing 2.
Overall, the Blessing 2's sound very pleasant and correct(?) with the music I primary listen to, and I've noticed I've been listening more than I usually do. I was originally afraid of whether or not the nozzles were too big, but they're actually more comfortable and sit in my ears better than the Airpod Pros do with the stock medium sized tips. If I can manage to somehow get the spring tips on the nozzle, I've read that it does play around a bit with the sound so I'm interested to hear how they sound. I'm no longer left wanting 'more' out of my music with the Blessing 2.

I used to have a set of Sundaras and the right ear started rattling. They replaced them and the replacement arrived with a broken port where the wire connects to the ear cup. decided not to bother and got some ATH-R70x instead.
