Yeah I tried eqing the treble a bit but man these headphones are intense I think imma return them.

It’s a fun sound definitely but for short periods of time. I can’t see myself in them for more than an hour or two.

If you dont mind spending for an upgrade in build quality and for the detachable design, then sure go for it. Do mind that it won't be much of an upgrade sonically. I find that the lan (even with my preferred ms42 tips that tend to smoothen the highs) still suffers from being shouty and harsh sometimes, and require me to adjust the volume for some tracks. If the one thing you hate about the chu is the fact that the cable is fixed, then the lan will satisfy you. That was my reason for getting the lan.

I think I’ll return them. My ears hurt, and I’m at like 1/3 volume. iPhone shows 68dB and the high frequencies are too much for me xd

I have a playlist of about 30 songs by my favourite /r/symphonicmetal artists, occasionally updated with new favourites. The first song is always Cryovile - Providence.

It took me a while to like them. At first the thin earpads hurt my ears so bad that i didn't want to use them anymore, then i got thick brainwavz pads, but they made them sound terrible, after wearing them for a while the ear pads compressed enough that the sound is back to normal. They are my daily drivers now, but i still hate the stiff cable, which i might replace soon, i already have the parts to do so.

As good as HBB's collabs might be, I couldn't bring myself to buy any after reading about his dogshit behaviour (not that I'm a fan of IEMs, anyway).

Nice collection. Definitely feel like Sennheiser is in my future. Never owned any but I've been so close to pulling the trigger a few times.

It's funny how we all have different preferences. I'm a firm believer that if you like the sound you get then it's good sound, regardless of price/reputation etc. I guess that's why it's such an engaging hobby.

Personally for me the dt990 are way too bright cant Here Them more than 1 hour. The 560s are very flat very neutral but Not that Bad in treble for me. Good Soundstage and Imaging. I also have a pair of tygr 300r he400se hd660 akg 371. But im Always going Back to 560s. That Sennheiser 500 series IS so comfortable. Can wear Them the whole day. I strechted Them 1 day ON their Box too loosen the clamp a Bit and now i might sell my Others cause they are bot used. Yeah my das also Had alot of Vinyl they were in big boxes. But nowadays He uses Laptop with dac amp and some Headphones.

My dad had a similar system when I was growing up. Still has it actually. He's got about 300 vinyl records from the 60s up to today. He never had headphones though, was hooked up to a multi speaker system he'd worked on over the years.

I've always been interested in the 560s. I have DT990 Pro, AKG K702 and original Grado SR60 at the moment. I really enjoy bright treble so they suit me pretty well. How would you compare the 560s?

Does the Samsung have atmos enabled by default? I'm pretty sure my S10e did. It worked quite well with a handful of tracks, ruined the majority though

When I got a new Sony MP3 player in '06 and the in ears that came with it actually had treble and bass, unlike the cheap aldi earbuds that came with my old mp3 player.

You can't really get a significant upgrade from the 650 on that budget. The Focal Elex fits your requirement for punchy bass.

I was very little maybe 4 5. My das Had that old Stack. Like CD Radio and casette. With an old Sennheiser hd414 i think and thats all. I still Love IT. Now im using 560s and atom dac with Zen can as a daily. Had some Beyers aswell dont Like Them.

Android volume control sucks, i had the issue when I connect a Bluetooth speaker which volume control buttons control the phones volume control. Can never find the right level 🤣

Does that HiBy dongle have an app with volume control? Been looking into balanced dongles today, and somehow it seems like a rare feature, though I find it to be essential, as android's own volume control is not granular enough. My iBasso has that and it's a must IMO

I tested a bit with Coil. The irritating sounds are going to be VERY irritating when it's emphasized and I can kinda of hear when there isn't enough detail but is supposed to be.

The song I've tried the most is "Time" by David Bowie however. On the RCA CD press.

Running IEM directly from the phone did give me an idea of how good they were compared to normal headphones (or 5 USD IEM's I started with, funnily enough as hearing protectors when riding a motorcycle and as replacement for my helmet speakers from my satnav / phone), it was not long after my first "few bucks IEM that I went into the Rabbit Hole of reddit on them, and here we are today.

The Aria's are superb imho when it comes to IEM's at that price level, but having them now for a while I do notice a bit of tinkering with EQ is needed to get to something I like to listen too more then EQ-less.

Of course I will not try to tinker with the EQ when the HiBy in between for period of time, maybe to change some settings afterwards.
