What mic are you using? If it's the modmic then I guess it's the terrible mute slider of it, it's basically broken.
Can recommend to simply set a hotkey for muting yourself inside of whatever software you're using instead of using mute buttons. Worked for me and transitioning over to these settings just takes a bit to get used to.

One of the tests they use is establishing your hearing threshold for various frequencies (equal loudness contour). You can't do that reliable if you don't know the frequency response of the headphone. I presume it is calibrated just like you use a calibrated mic for measurements.

I personally love the 6XX/650 but I can't speak for these amps. If you can, try before you buy. I wouldn't even see the 6XX/650 as a startingpoint, because, depending on your needs, it might as well be endgame already. Having heard the HD800 I still have no desire to move on. I plan on getting something from ZMF one day, but the 6XX will be at my side until it stops working and once that happens I will buy a 650 or 6XX again.
I would say go for it if you like non fatiguing, laid back sound. 500ish € would be about the same price I had to pay to import my 6XX and purchase the FiiO K5 pro. Probably on par with what is listed for you, so definitely more than worth it.
If the pads of the 650's are flat, I can definitely recommend that you replace them with either stock pads or ZMF suede pads.

It will power most things and the EQ is so easy ( i'm not a EQ person at all ) built pretty well to, and priced ok.

Because you don’t need one. The Apple usb c dongle has a very capable DAC and sufficient power for your needs.

Beyer's people would, people unironically listen to the Death Treble 990's. Hearing-damage level hills of treble, lol

I would say so. Didn't know they were that close in weight but it's very noticeable. That's interesting because I think the Clear are some of the comfiest headphones I own haha

This my little collection 2 planars and 2 dynamic. The hifiman 400se I received them yesterday. First openback planars. Detail is good soundstage is also brilliant imaging can get blurred on some busy tracks. But my biggest disappointment is lack of power these are not power hungry and they can't take much power either. The rest of my lineup are better with power
Update finally found the sweet spot with the eq. They were a little more tricky than am used to but I got there. Thx to reddit I am so happy with these. I can hand on my heart say I've never drums like I heard on these wow just wow the detail and clarity is ridiculous for this price . And the bass Is sweet you can hear notes in the bass, that was unexpected. And they are so damn light. The cable is heavy but am not complaining since i know which cable I could've ended up with 😂😂. All in all great start to the year

I’m not really understanding why you would pick up the Arya Stealth in the first place if you prefer warmth.
Every review I’ve ever read or watched of them clearly states they lean bright.
