Kinda hard to say because when I got my Sundara, I already had the 1990 Pro & Sennheiser HD660s and I preferred those to the Sundara, so I didn't listen to them much, but when I did I really loved the sound. Honestly, I think if you have a pair of Sundara, HD600 Series or 1990 Pro, more expensive headphones offer little value to you. While I like the LCD X more than the Sundara, I would rather have the Sundara and save the money.

I found the 560s a bit boring too, doesn’t mean it’s a bad headphone. But you have to get used to a new pair of cans sometimes. And switching between 2 phones all the time does not give your brain enough time to adapt. If you totally can’t stand them, sure return them but I’d try to use only them for a few days and if you still hate them you can return them.

Other than that I really hate how the community hates on V shaped cans sometimes. V shape does not make a set of phones Bad it makes it different like all headphones are.

And bass is like the fat in food, it gives a good and tasty base for everything around. And like in food too much isn’t good and too little isn’t good either. And everyone prefers a different dose of it.

I just returned my LCD-X to get a pair of Arya and I favor the Arya significantly. Great addition to my ZMF Verite Closed and DCA Aeon 2 Noire. The LCD-X even with EQ didn’t sound quite as good as the others to me and yes comfort is also a big thing when you’re focusing partially what’s in your head and partially the music. Weight isn’t awful but definitely not all day headphone like he said above.

as u/ThatGuyFromSweden said, the Clears are known to have this issue. I would try to send him a screenshot of a reliable source confirming exactly that. some elderly people love listening very loudly. My gf's dad basically blows his earsdrums out to mask his tinnitus when using his HD800. It's absolutely nuts. When I gave him my Hexa to try IEMs he literally maxed out my phones volume. I listen at half volume.

If that person continues to be super annoying I would say go there and simply take them back to spare yourself from the annoyance and sell them to someone else. Clears are popular, I think it's not too difficult to get rid of them and it would make yours and the dude's life much easier I guess.

I wonder low loud op is listening that the sound bleed can be heard by the roommate. I live in a dorm with another guy, separated by 1.5 meters between our beds with no wall between us, apart from 2 monitors I use on the table beside my bed. I asked him if he'd ever heard something from my headphones, he said no, and I tested it myself, I also couldn't hear it. That's why I have the 2nd pair of open back afterwards.

You don't need one and see any benefits when you get a new dac or amp. Instead get new headphones or bluetooth dac amps if you want to use your headphone via bluetooth.
