It really depends what you are looking for, if you want something to use at your PC at home i can vouch for the quality of the HD600 and HD800S, i haven't owned other headphones form them, so it's best to go to r/HeadphoneAdvice or the daily question thread and ask for purchase advice there

for the earphone i suspected it had to do with the whole biodegradability but i didnt expect it to degrade so quickly.. 4 years tops isnt really a good life for a quality product.

i once thought about getting a sennheiser but i wasnt paying around ~$200 for something that could peel/degrade after 2 years when i had the same experience 6 times before for cheaper.

any specific model? im willing to research at least.

i like to think i take good care of my stuff so not sure what more i can do

I’ve listened to these before. They’re terrible from an objective audio standpoint and full on gimmick headphones, but god damn they’re fun and made me giggle uncontrollably.

It's a good price for an eartip that's molded after your ear. You need to get your molds first, then they make positives that fit your earphone. You can also order entirely custom earphones, but they're pricier especially if you want full sound.

Hi guys i don't know if it's a common question but I don't know how to word it, so i might as well just ask

I've been thinking about buying a new earphone/headphones, and my friends recommend Blon or Moondrop, but both are IEMs and i notice that they can be disconnected from the cable

Does that mean that they can be wireless when disconnected or do i need to buy a wireless adapter for it? It's not that i necessarily want a wireless headset, but if it was it would be a bonus

thanks, and sorry if it sounds like a dumb question

Omg. Same old story “a huge upgrade”, “punches way above its weight”, “in a league of its own” etc etc. a new option in the 600 series. Yes, it costs a little more as Sennheiser is a business after all. Give it some time and the price will either settle down or the sales will become more frequent. The sound better be different than others in the 600 series and even the 660S or why would you be buying these. Just grab some of the music you like and audition these, and if you like them - pull the trigger, if not - there’s plenty of fish in the sea. There’s no end game single set of cans and there’s no single set that does it all. Enjoy the music and happy listening.

PS: and please try to explain the sound with music examples and how it sounds to you. How instruments and sounds are pictured in your mind. Stop using “mids” “highs” and “lows”….

Frankly speaking as far as far as i can tell the new stealth is not by any means an upgrade unlike arya stealth. The major differences are less but more impactful bass, much brighter highs, smaller soundstage and recessed mids. Nobody can actually pinpoint if any detail or speed is gained as all people can say is its better than arya but worse than hekse, which is what they were saying about hekv2 original already.

Those headphones are usually made out of the cheapest materials known to man, the key to get a headphone to last long is to buy the right model and to take care of it, anything from your usual consumer brands like HyperX, Sony, Bose etc... or stuff with a Battery in it is likely do die early, headphones from a quality brand like Sennheiser can last upwards of 10 years, of course at the end of the day it's still the end user whos responsible for taking care of the product

When it comes to earpads or headbands, stay as far away as possible from that cheap vegan plastic piece of shit leather and only stick to the real quality stuff (honestly stay away from vegan products in general), velour is also a great option, anything that isn't real leather or Velour is a mistake to purchase

Get a stack. It looks good. And you can upgrade/replace.JDS Atom + JDS Dac or Schiit depending on which have the lower shipping cost.

You could also got the used route.

I don't really like Fiio it sounds too cheap to me, they had a lot of bad/average products before becoming OK, but that's just my impression.
I'd rather have a UK company (Schiit) or JDS (JDS Labs) product (that will have most part sourced from China, I know)
