Reply to comment by eckru in how should i compare these autoeq results and decide which one to use? by SHERIFF_HARDIN
is the one that says oratory1990 not the same as this? i thought auto eq just meant it was "automatic" for you and not auto generated

Thank you! I looked at that today and unfortunately I am still not smarter. Although I could order both of them to try.
Key thing is, are the Pro X worth their money or is there a better bang for the buck.

I don't feel I'm missing anything with the Aryas but if I ever upgrade it will be for those ones. With their price, there's no reason to buy the Aryas when the HE1000 are so close. I paid €1000 for the Aryas but if I were to buy them new I would save a little bit more and go for the HE1000.

Did you choose the cable?
YummyBaldy t1_ja4069c wrote
Well i did the opposite, i sold my he1000se for the Arya Stealth. Lost a lot of technicalities but overall i prefer a narrower soundstage with lot of separation

Wearing the LCD X for more than an hour could be an f1 driver neck exercise 😉

Yeah that sucks but it’s still nice that you can use the Qudelix with one cable less now it seems :) Or rather with any OTG cable and it’s not hit or miss anymore, maybe…

Yes. Everything decays, some things faster than others. Did you gently wipe that with microfiber?

Its just a replaceable cable. They are simple analog headphones, there are no active electronics inside.

Used to lose my dirty buds occasionally back in the day but ever since I've started buying "real" earbuds/IEMs, never once. They're either in a safe place or I use them so often that they're in a prominent place like my desk or bedside table. I rarely crinkle them up in my pockets anymore.

The sorta music I usually don't want others hearing me listen to is usually really old music like sea shanties or pre 1950s stuff and really experimental electronic genres like plunder-phonics

You can tell the difference immediately planars have a unique sound, they have better separation and speed. thx btw I appreciate it

I sold my LCD-X due to lack of use, but I loved them. The bass response is just… so smooth and detailed

Congrats!
Yeah, I came to very similar conclusions over long-term listening between these two as well. The HEK v2 is a wonderful all-rounder that is easier to listen to without fatigue - and this was even doing comparison listening across multiple combinations of source chains as well.
I was able to take advantage of a trade-in for my Ananda to upgrade to the HEK v2, and have no regrets. So I'm heavily considering doing a similar trade-in for the Arya SE to go up to something else, otherwise, they'll likely end up getting sold later this year.

I love the orange ATs! Are they first party or are they a custom job?
