Reply to comment by SHERIFF_HARDIN in how should i compare these autoeq results and decide which one to use? by SHERIFF_HARDIN
It's not the same. It's based on his measurements, but it's automatically generated (and that's where the name actually comes from).
Oratory measures the headphones himself, listens to them and fine-tunes the settings by ear. Looking at his PDFs you can also see that his presets are easier to tinker with, as he specifies bands that you should adjust to preference.
It doesn't mean that oratory's presets will be better for you, but his approach seems more correct.
In the end all comes down to your preference, if you like some of the AutoEQ presets more then feel free to use it and enjoy.

Reply to How do I listen for "detail" in music? by West-Cheek-156
This is part of why "detail" is a little disagreed upon in terms of definition.
Some define it as a property of the driver that reproduces things others can't, and others define it as parts of the treble that emphasizes smaller nuances that are always there, but either masked or not as pronounced in most other headphones

I don‘t want to make a case for iPhone here. Everyone should use what they feel like.

Dunno, loosing my headphone jack, AdBlock and sponsorblock on the YouTube app would be too much to give up for me, apple could fix soang things by opening up their ecosystem

I like using iPhones and Apple Music. I just wanted to put it out for some other fellow Apple user.

I have a pretty large head tbh :D
Never had open headphones though, but read, that some like them more for gaming, because they hear steps more.
How does the Sundara compare here? Thats available for around 300€ at Amazon.

The DT700 doesn't have a lot of strong competitors. The AKG K371 and Shure SRH840 aren't as well built. I might consider the Sennheiser HD560s a value contender to the DT900. Although, if you have a larger head, the DT900 might be better overall.

If you want an open device and third party accessories go Anroid, they have much better software and for phones more than good enough hardware, also a much wider variety on aspect ratios, features etc...

That was my experience with the R70x. First impression: Very light, feels cheap. Later: I don't even need to wear it, it just floats by itself!

Topping D10s, Schiit Magni 3+, and Dekoni Nuggets 4 of em lining the headband lol. About to order some new pads. Also, the xs is amazingly comfy while wearing a beanie, more bass too.
