Try Spinfit CP100+, W1, CP145, etc. Those have a rotation gimmick that actually kinda works.

For the CP100+ and W1, those also have medical grade silicone material that should help with the itching/uncomfortableness/allergies/etc. A lot of new silicone ear tips these days basically have that medical grade silicone material now, but in the future, always make sure to get that so that your ears don't itch/etc.

Yes, you can use different-sized ear tips to have a better fit/seal, but for me the sound can change drastically as the bass/treble/etc. shift to one side and so on due to the mismatched dimensions/sizing/etc. of the ear tips.

Try Spinfit W1, FiiO HS18, AZLA SednaEarfit XELASTEC, Dunu S&S, etc. ear tips for possibly better fit/seal, noise reduction/isolation, and comfort.

The dimensions/sizing/measurements/etc. for most ear tips these days will be on Amazon/AliExpress/HiFiGo/etc. Unfortunately you have to blind buy the ear tips in order to get a feel for the dimensions/measurement/etc. that you like for your ears. Remember, this will also change with different IEMs as they'll have different nozzle length, nozzle angle, and so on.

For Spinfits, usually some AliExpress storefronts or like say MTMTaudio/etc. will allow people to only get 2 pieces of 1 size for cheaper or half price of the usual price. Like some Spinfits models are often $10 with 4 pieces of 1 size and so they sell it for $5 for 2 pieces.

Cheap ear tips (basically FiiO HS18, Spinfit from some AliExpress storefronts, Chinese websites like MTMTaudio/et cetera, and so on) and possibly better soundstage: https://www.reddit.com/r/HeadphoneAdvice/comments/1157giz/upgrade_imaging_with_balanced_cable_iem_or/j90a003/

Yup, always make sure to use OTG cables (allows for data transfer) with dongles. Some of us still have those micro-USB phones/devices and so we can forget that it's a requirement and another point of incompatibility if it's somehow not implemented properly.

This thread link talks about the Qudelix 5K, AptX Adaptive dongles, and specifically Apple devices: https://www.reddit.com/r/headphones/comments/zc1znn/qudelix_5k_arent_these_issues_a_big_issue/iyuh35j/

why would you ever buy an amp/DAC for $50 IEMs lol

They wouldn't ever need an amp/DAC anyways, but you should get something wayyy nicer before even considering it

Same here. I have custom tips for my etymotic IEMs. Fantastic upgrade if you have this problem.

For the rest I just use different sized tips in each ear. Whatever works... no hesitation to find the best fit even if it's different in each ear.

Recently got into bone conduction headphones as earbuds just don't fit my weird ears. (Unless I get cone shaped tips like ear plugs, but that's a long story) Saw the Shokz headphones and they look perfect except for that stupid proprietary cable, but I love how the Openrun model is IP67 water resistant.

Question is that, are there bone conduction headphones that are water resistant, USB-C, and have decent battery life? (Looking for 7+ hours of use) I may consider the Openrun if there's not much else. Especially if they're more expensive.

Man, I used to be like the parent comment here. I used to be like, "oooohhhh radio pop, she must be bad lololololol look at me, macho manly, hating on a pop musician"

She's got a good voice and her brother wins production awards for a reason. She might not be everyone's cup of tea for daily listening (though I certainly came around), but for headphone testing, all three of her albums make solid cases to be in a review rotation (and indeed, I've read plenty of other reviews that include her music, either for production reasons, or because it's popular and common).

I just recently picked up a pair of HIFIMAN Edition XS. I was looking for a little more bass over the HIFIMAN Sundara which I've been using for the past 2 years. I'm liking them so far but am noticing a squeak in the padding because of my glasses. Taking off my glasses removes this squeak completely so I know that's the problem (not with the audio).

Any advice on how to resolve this? I've seen the Dekoni pads but wasn't sure which one to go with or if I even should, since this will add another ~$100 to the cost, maybe I just look at the Anandas while in the return window? I'm mostly gaming with these and some music listening while working from home.

Aside from that, I'm using a TOPPING DX3 Pro+ is this sufficient for my use case? I'm new to higher end audio equipment and wasn't really looking to break the bank. I use the BT 5.1 feature for my OLED TV/Monitor setup for movies which is nice. USB for everything on the PC.

KOSS had similar, this was closed back for studio monitoring or not bothering your roommate back then. Not junk, just old technology. Was high end but the end did not go that high back then. But leather pad on top, serious ear pads, metal frame, definitely an attempt was made

I’m close to giving up on my JBL live pro 2 earbuds. As far as features and sound they are great but the one issue I’ve has was with sound cutting out briefly/randomly. In troubleshooting I tried switching from video mode to audio mode, turning off auto play and pause, and having both buds in since often I’m only using one. In about an hour I’ve had zero dropouts. Has anyone had a similar experience or am I experiencing a fluke?
