They aren't custom LEMO, I don't know why people keep saying that, they're ODU Mini-Snap.

I’ve used them all and I’ve been using Apple Music for over a year straight. That’s the longest I’ve stuck with one streaming service. No complaints.

Absolutely and you can even rip your own vinyl and host it on their to listen on any device. It's really amazing.

3.5 stays in fine for me. That'd have to be a really heavy cable for it to have problems staying in. And it is less likely to break if yanked.

I also have some Blessing 2 Dusks, that i love, but honestly they get quite fatiguing after a while. I work with headphones on for pretty much 8h every day and I wanted something comfortable that wouldn't break the bank and these fell just in the right category. I honestly thought that swapping the cable would have been much easier, but I guess not thanks, sennheiser.

u/Key_Salary974, Uhm the Meridian Prime Amp is literally labelled a headphone amplifier on their website.
Anyway the Empyreans aren't demanding so something like the FiiO K7 is more than enough.

Not true. Tidal uses MQA encoding on many of its files, even if non-MQA versions are available. Qobuz does not. Apple Music does not.
MQA isn't true lossless, either. https://goldensound.audio/2021/11/29/tidal-hifi-is-not-lossless/

I think the only one with a good algorythm to find new music after you trained it a little is Spotify.
In my opinion it`s not about the codec, it`s about curation.

With Spotify i found so much new music I love..

Why would I want a non-locking connector on the removable cable? that sounds awful. The plugs direct from DCA only cost $7 each...

Wait the LEMOs aren't standard, Sennheiser got LEMO to make a special version just for them? That's retarded, wtf??? You can at least buy a normal one even if it's expensive, why go custom.

Seriously. The biggest reason I ended up buying the Philips X2HR as my first good headphones was because I saw they use a regular 3.5mm cable.
Un111KnoWn t1_ja8rw62 wrote
Does custom connector include those dumb locking mechanisms for connectors that still use 3.5mm?

I find it very interesting that you have such a specific example but I don't really understand what I am supposed to be listening for or what the buried detail is.
