I think a Seeaudio bravery, B2D, or even the variations/DUNU SA6 will be a massive step up for you, with a slightly more neutral tuning than the HD6xx. Easier to drive, of course, and the differences between IEMs being closed back and closer to the ear with detail retrieval.
Ideally the next step, if you'd like to stick to DAPs + IEMs would be the IE600 + Thieaudio monarch mkII/Softears RSV + Hiby RS2/FiiO M11s/Lotoo PAW 5000 MKII

It really shouldn't be the case that separate components are better but often integrated amps just use high impedance resistors off of the main speaker output to step down to headphone levels.

Way better than I expected out of a closed back, I think the tall pads help a lot in that regard

Super comfy, the ear fitting thing is actually a big deal to me, I have moderately sized gauge earrings so it's awesome to find some headphones that easily fit them

I did get them slightly used (literally almost half off and perfect condition) and they came with those in them, I'm currently trying them without the filters

I guess headphone output is a case where separate components are better than integrated systems. I just grew up with old receivers you plugged your headphones into and never thought about impedance levels.

So I am currently trying the HD560S and the 900 Pro X.
First impression is, that the 900 Pro X sounds much ... deeper .. and with richer sound.
Excited to hear, if its suitable for the step locating task in EFT as well :D Music related I am very pleased.

I did, yeah. Tried oratory's eq settings and a few others and while it helped, it wasn't enough for my tastes. That was really my only complaint besides some spikey treble and my ears aren't a huge fan of brighter headphones.

Yeah I forgot to mention that. It won't play any songs you have downloaded off Tidal, it just directly streams them.

Ah so you want an EQ preset for the the DSP that lowers its upper midrange shout and treble sibilance...
Are you sure you're not listening at godforsaken levels of SPL. Also are you inserting them deep enough in your ears.... If you're doing all the above correct item stuff then this EQ I'd send via your DMs should help. Check your DMs

Yep. I used the "Optimum HiFi Curve" target and the HD 6XX sounds less bass-heavy. However, I think I will run them on stock tunings for a few weeks to see what I feel about them after my ears get used to the sound.
