I have 80 ohm 96 db/mw DT 770's as the closest analogy and the DT770's definitely helps with an amp when portable. Fine for YouTube browsing but not enough for music. I had a XD-05 Basic that worked fine with them a couple years ago.

The money was taken out of my account at some point this morning (was able to pay using my card) but still no email to confirm the order.

I doubt they will cancel it. Seems like there are a lot of things going on sale on their site. M1070 is on sale today.

I see a peak at 14k. I know from experience comparing Crinacle's measurements to my ears that it will be at 12k and probably much higher in magnitude.

If it peaks after 15k, especially is it is sort of flat at the top instead of sharp like on the Dusk measurement then I just might be ok, and indeed the Dusk one of the only 2 IEMs I have heard that don't give me peaky upper treble.

If you hear a difference in EQ balance, then you could either be listening to different master recordings of that specific album or there's a disparity in volume between the apps that is making you perceive the music differently.

Streaming music services don't have inherently different sound signatures, though - if all variables are equal, they sound the same.

Can’t imagine what was uncomfortable about the M50. Ive had a pair for almost 15 years and still find them fantastic sounding. Had to replace the ear pads because i haev liked them and worn and used them so much the earpads literally fell apart. Incredible value for money for what I paid for them back then.

I feel like I hear a clear different in sound quality when I use Apple Music vs Qobuz. I'm not sure about Spotify though. The bass sounds "softer" and less prominent, the mids sounds less clear and the highs are less prominent on Apple Music. I know they are both lossless but I can't figure out why there is a clear difference. Just my 2 cents
