The treble on the 900 Pro X is actually within tolerances, it's not the same treble excesses as present in the older DT models so if you're still experiencing sibilance then yes, you're treble averse...

I can send an EQ preset to test if you're keen on experimenting with that.

Speaker measurement is a lot more complicated than headphone measurement. A headphone measurement rig can accommodate basically all headphone types and or can be tested in many locations. Changing location does not impact the headphone's sound, it's going to be the same everywhere. But for speakers, sound bounces off of surroundings and the shadow of the room will impact the sound of speakers (less relevant for laptop speakers, but same points). That's why it's easy to have a database of all headphone measurements. In order to measure speakers you will need to do it yourself in your normal environment, take measurements from different points in your room, and use a specialized microphone for precise readings. You can't simply have a database of all speakers, and using those measurements for an EQ will not work.

I depends on the device, I have a K5 Pro as well (AKM version) and it doesn't get remotely hot at all but also have a Topping A90 that does get quite hot. And a xDuoo TA-26 (tube amp) that gets even hotter. Even for that matter a Moondrop MoonRiver 2 dongle gets quite hot.

I think I’d go for the OpenAlpha first. It’s a known design that is known to sound pretty good, and it’s easy to modify it a bit and experiment around. If you start with something custom, it may take a long time to see something that actually works well, so that may be worthwhile as a longer-term project.

Well, in Japanese the car model written as アリア, so "Aria" would be correct.

I guess Nissan having issues with converting Katagana to Romaji or vise versa. Explains the quality of their cars
