Denon d7200 with zmf Ori pads. I prefer them over any open back I have owned, they sound fun and have a wide soundstage with those pads and are comfortable to game or listen to music for hours. Also love the wood look

Here's a suggested EQ. This basically cuts the mid-bass to improve clarity (leaving the sub-bass) and smooths over the upper mids.

The smoothing over the upper mids in particular on these is based on my own set, some measurements like Crinacle's don't seem to line up so well but others like MRS line up better. If you listen for the peaks and dips, you could customize. This maybe just helps a little for me if the upper mids get harsh.

If it sounds off you could just try one filter, and less, say 200Hz -3dB Q0.7. This just cuts the midbass a BIT but not entirely. It's a little boomy stock.

You may well just like them stock either, that's fine too.

These do have great bass.

Indeed! To me, it's one of the best closed back company out there but i know it's not a popular opinion among audiophiles. The m50x were overhyped but they are not that bad. I liked the sound but the comfort was not for me. Msr7b sounds better and are more comfy. This weekend i also tried the ATH-WP900 and the ATH-AWAS at the Audio-Tech boot of the Audiofest. They are both really awesome headphones but the WP900 really impress me. Incredibly lightweight, portable and great, great sound. Gorgeous looks too. Definitely my second choice of the weekend after the Meze Liric.

Yeah I bought the XENNS TOP after seeing a review (freshreviews). Mainly I wanted a pair of IEMs that so well in gaming and also SOUND good. I never thought I’d ever buy IEMs over 100€ and got the Kato. Nice sounding but lacking bass and sounding a bit clinical.

Then I thought I’d never pay oder 200€ and got the Hook X. Better in the bass department, still lacking stage but good imaging and overall tonality. But uncomfortable, they really hurt my ears after half an hour.

So guess who never thought of paying 530€ for a pair of IEMs. And still bought them. Obviously me.

And I don’t regret it, they sound phenomenal. Really comfortable even with my smol ears and a soundstage that rivals my headphones. I don’t have to tell you the details, they are In the review but damn those Tops are really good

I hate closed backs since IEMs are just a better buy in general, but here are some actual good ones:

AKG K371

Auroros Audio Astralis

Anything ZMF makes

That's kind of it. I've never heard the Stellia, the hifiman closed backs are just horrid, and Dan Clark Audio stuff always sounds compressed.

You know how with the stock pads it can sound a little grainy? You'd be surprised how much detail they can put out just by switching the pads. Clarity goes through the roof. It does change the tonality though making it a bit flatter but still retains most of its soundstage and imaging capabilities.
