Absolutely. But you have to know what you want. Being able to test out headphones is a good idea. Most of the time though it's a "sidegrade", finding the sound signature and tuning you prefer. As much as I like my HD650 there are noticeably big differences between my more expensive headphones, such as bass extension, soundstage, imaging etc.

I’m getting the sense that the meat of most headphone reviews are really just ELI5 of translating a frequency response curve into a prediction of what an individual user will perceive as the listening experience. Such reviews are important because the average person looking at a FR graph will have no idea if they would enjoy the Arya’s FR vs. the LCD-X’s FR more.
Is that a reasonable takeaway from this thread?

That's why I stick with ZMF, their QC is SUBLIME. Not to mention some of the best handcrafted wooden headphones.

Why does it have to be this shell though? Not a fan of the size.

it’s a product that’s been out for what… a couple months? you’re an early adopter. for $20 that’s a small risk, but ya know…
i try to dissuade people from buying stuff with a bad reputation but it takes getting burned a few times before people stop falling for such “bargains”. fwiw, my Wan’er still going strong after a few months and it should sound very similar, but ya know, its only been a few months.

It’s very possible I just immediately rejected their stock sound because I’m used to very well balanced headphones. I’m sure I could adjust to them over time but in terms of immediate enjoyment I prefer them with some EQ.

Yeah, same for me, my HD660s still going strong after four or so years. People should buy good AND reliable stuff, not the stuff that is prone to failure. And also well known for its bad qc, looking at you, Hifiman...

I’m not obese and eat healthy but after getting a physical I got bad news about being in the verge of diabetes and hypertension. It was a Reality check.

Strange, I bought a bunch of moondrops IEMs (and TWSs) but I literally have zero issues. Even the aria paint chip was from me dropping and treating them rough, but the drivers are still fine

Fasting is just snake oil and the weight loss is just placebo. You only need an apple dongle to lose weight.

With anything it is good in moderation. It safe as long as it is done correctly and you aren't just eating a bunch of junk when your eating period comes around! I did it myself for a bit to kick off trying to eat less in general.
