I am seriously considering just getting a pair of LCD2's actually and just making sure I am more careful.

What beyerdynamics would ypu recommend? I found the bass a bit lacking on the XS.

Hey man, to each his own.

The lower frequencies can be tricky to treat. But i feel that with that amount of money you should be able to get decent monitors plus a sub. You can usually move around the sub, more so than front speakers.

In my studio, i use a 500€ sub. There's really no headphone in the world that can make you feel those kick. But in my living room i use a 20€ sub that i got from second hand market, it goes down to 40Hz. I won't go on a long ass piece on how the difference in price is really justified between those two, but if you just want to hear the kick and you don't care about other considerations, it would fill the task.

I'm pretty sure there is a (cheap) solution to your problem, even tho i couldn't tell exactly what it is without more informations.

If you have a spare phone or tablet, you can hook it up to K7 and stream your audio that way. For example in android I am using YAACC and UAPP app to stream from moodeaudio (audio streamer and player running MPD) to my phone.

Basically, after you install media server plugin on synology nas, it will show up on the apps I mentioned as UPnP/DLNA server. With the phone/tablet connected to K7 you can serve your audio files to it. Try this with your phone without having to buy K7 first. With an app like UAPP, you can access your NAS via ftp, sanba, or webdav interface and serve your files that way too.

I will give you my advice which is based on the scientific facts I am aware of.

Calorie balance is what matters most for losing weight. IF is just unnecessary effort that matters very little and is based mostly in anecdotal evidences.

And btw I did IF for some time, lose weight, gain weight, accordingly with calorie balance.

It's actually a full-on DAC/amp in an itty-bitty dongle package. It almost certainly will send a cleaner signal, which you'll hear as a lower noise floor.

Just getting into the hobby, though? It's not a place I'd put money. I think if you had a $100 budget, you'd be better off with a set of $80 Arias plugged straight into your phone's headphone jack than a set of $20 Holas plugged into a $80 portable dac/amp. Where hardware is concerned, the closer to your ears the more important it is.

While I think the MM-100 will probably compare sonically (speculation and Audeze lover), it looks like the headband is from the Mobius so it won't be the same metal yokes and headband but instead a plastic one. If you want something built like a tank, you will need to go up to the Audeze LCD-2C or if durability is your number 1 priority I would check our Beyerdynamic. Every part is user replaceable and while the Audeze are sturdy I wouldn't want to drop them whereas the Beyers are pretty capable of being handled pretty poorly and being just fine. That's kind of the thing with Hifiman though, sounds punches way above the price but the build quality leaves a lot to be desired. So to get a true sonic comparison you typically have to go a bit up in price.
