Yeah ik, using this method can sometimes get you 192 kbps opus files, which sound and measure fairly decently.

The differences aren’t things like details or timbre. Although that could happen. The biggest differences I hear in scaling up is the stage becoming deeper/wider more holographic and much darker background and a sense of effortless performance. It’s so obvious. It’s not even in the realm of placebo it’s like a slap in the face. But a good one lol

It's just a play on sound waves and wave forms. Music has multiple frequencies, but they're all combined together into a single waveform that the driver follows to create a pressure wave. Then your ear hears that pressure wave and extracts the individual frequencies again

I used to run them out of an iPhone 13 with a dongle and yeah they might not be crazy loud but they really don’t need to be. I think if you want an amp, get a FiiO BTR5. Bluetooth or USB-C and they run them just fine!
