S12 are also really good, I own a pair as well and they are amazing but the hexa are more comfortable to me, the S12 in my left ear always starts to slip of no matter what eartips I choose. Also I find the S12 a little fatiguing because of the treble.

I think I'm still a little in the honeymoon period but is also because I really like them, the things I like about is the clarity of the sound, you can hear everything in songs and the imaging for games like halo is really good, also they are the most comfortable iems I own and I own Aria, S12, zs10 pro x, blon 01, and the Chus. What I don't like is that the cable feels frail, they get a little quiet I think they would benefit from an amp but I don't own any, and I think that's it and I'm nit picking

That's the task for a sound engineer, real-time mixing is the thing that needs to be done. If you don't hear bass and keys, upmix them on a mixing console.

M50x is a decent headphone for your task (not so much for listening to music, but for monitoring they're OK).

Hi Thanks for your reply. The Elekit is very tempting mainly because it will push me to learn a new skill (soldering) and gives a sense of accomplishment from DIY. My research showed me the same recommendation of 2w at 50ohms. Suggestions include the iFi Pro iCAN, Rebel amp, and Ragnarok.

I like the clamp. I also came from a hd 598se and was shocked at the clamp force of the 560s, but it loosened up after a couple of days and unlike the 598, doesn't fall off my head if i dare to look down.

Oh, awesome! I was able to find this SoundClick profile with a working stream for that song, as well as 10 other songs they recorded.

Unfortunately it looks like the files uploaded were only 128kbps, but it sounds a little better than the YouTube video to my ears. :)

As someone who's getting back into high-res audio after a long time, where are you guys buying/downloading your high-res flac files from?

I stick with lossless in case by some miracle I get cans or ears that can tell the difference.

Honestly, hard drives are cheap enough nowadays that even lossless files don’t cost much to store. So why not.
