HD600 is more neutral and don't have the added warmth and fullness of the HD6XX. Very similar though, but still splits people a lot. I highly suggest trying EQ (Oratory1990's preset) as, imo, that makes them so much better that it's ridiculous.

Yup, such is life with a big head. Although Sennheisers are pretty hit or miss for me because the cups don't swivel out at the top, so YMMV. Fortunately, most audiophile headphones that aren't Beyerdynamics get big enough for me.

That's the first signs of tinnitus I suspect. Keep going and the ringing may stay permanently. It's probably best to lower the volume and listen for shorter sessions.

The Dusk blows it out of the water. Everything about the Dusk is just "cleaner" sounding and more refined. It's not like I can't pick out what's going on on the Hexa, but the Dusk makes it easier. Imaging is good as well. I use it for gaming and have no real issues placing things where they are. Haven't really used the Hexa for gaming much yet

Edit: I've used the Hexa a bit and fuck me the tuning is so good to me. I've learned I like hearing every micro detail over a thumpy bass. I don't look at my Dusk the same way. This is more a personal discovery I think then anything but I love these fucking things

I can't find any information about the company. They've gathered apparently over 2,5M$ with a goal of $20 000 (on Kickstarter) and had some extremely sketchy clips with musicians and producers. It seems that Grell is a hired consultant "on the project" as he puts it, but it seems the overall design was finished long before him. The image shows graphs from Grell's video and they look rather horrific, but what else could it be besides basic measurements? Grell Audio TWS 1 were nothing special so is this just an industry legend trying to cash out with his name? How big a part did Grell have in the creation of the legendary Sennheisers or could it be he's got much less to offer outside the company (I'm not very familiar with his career)? Are there any good reasons to have two (small) bass-mid drivers and two mid-high drivers if it's a two-way system?

I'd love to be optimistic about these since closed back metal headphones are exactly what I'm looking for at the moment, but I suspect they're going to be garbage.

Here's Grell's video about them: https://youtu.be/VK17xvT-nwE

Simple advice for anyone here : if the music is louder than your normal speaking voice, it's too loud.

If you have closed backs that seriously attenuate sounds, then instead of your voice lightly snap your fingers and adjust the volume of your music to that.

Apple music lossless is good enough to not to bother with quality of mp3 which i still cannot hear the difference bethween flac. Or storing flac files where i could use that storage for literally anything else. It literally is flac with a instead of f.

My bad, having more options doesn’t make it any easier lol! Man, I’m super tempted to see if I can turn my Elekit into a preamp and get a pair of monoblocks to power some crazy speakers.

And building the amp was fun and easy to me! I didn’t really have much experience either, it’s just that well designed. My amp was damaged by a brownout recently so all I had to do was change the damaged FETs. Victor actually helped me out with that. I got the replacement parts from him as well. He replied quickly, very pleasant to deal with. Here’s a look at the insides when my older brother and I repaired it back in April this year.
