I may try different USB port but I don't think that's the issue I own the GIGABYTE Z390 AORUS PRO

The only thing I can think maybe getting too hot but it's cold here in San Diego so that shouldn't be it, so maybe wire I have type c to type c maybe I can try that I stead USB to type?

It's random plays than when in big fire fight sound shuts off for like 3-4 seconds than comes back. Happens random time but more when I increase volume on heretic. I turned off and closed obs and still does it.

Yah that's my soundbar I just switched out the white and red cable with new ones still cut out during Cs go these are those wbc cables too.

It did this before when I just hooked just the heretic to the Sennheiser dongle that came with my 363d.

I switched and plugged straight to mobo fixed it figured was a dac type issue so I got the magni plugged in now does same random sound cuts in cs go but music listening is perfectly fine.

Sound cutting off? Even with a separate Dac amp stack? Are the cables okay?

Perhaps you’re recording or live streaming and the sound source is switching around?

By the way, what is that long bar at the back? Is that a sound bar?

I felt need to upgrade since Thanksgiving. Spent alot for black friday and cyber monday, which I usually never buy anything until this year!

I started with new mouse than new monitor my main games i play cs go. My old sennheiser 363d were falling apart felt I needed to get some decent stuff for once.

I Went with:

K712 pro Schiit Modi+ Schiit Heretic Shure sm7b

Elgato Wave XLR

BenQ Zowie 2566k Logitech g super light

Everything else pretty old but I'm liking this stack what else would I need in the future 🤔

Although why is it when I listen to loud music it's fine, but when I play cs go sound seems to cut out for a few seconds when shots get fired?

I totally just had the MMX 300 in my cart believe it or not!

I was probably minutes away from pulling the trigger until I saw the post here on Reddit about the Maxwell. I immediately went onto Audeze's website and ordered it without hesitation. The wireless isn't really a big deal to me as I would rather run everything wired off my array of dac/amps I have but I am a pretty big fan of how the Mobius sounded back in the day when my friend had owned one but I was really put off after reading about all the issues with it and build quality problems of the Penrose and by extension the Cloud Orbit S. So I thought, okay, well maybe I'll go with the MMX 300 until the next generation of Penrose is released.

What timing!

I'll probably consider getting the MMX 300 at some point for giggles but my closed back 'gaming headphone' needs will probably be met with the Maxwell. Thinking about scooping up some non gaming Beyers though! I've always avoided them because of how bright or analytical I hear they sound. Kind of looking for something less on the analytical side, mostly. The TYGR came up as an interesting compromise and more what I was looking for. I ordered one of those to test the waters and it showed up today but sadly the left driver is hosed and will need to go back to Beyer.

You might want to check out the beyerdynamic mmx300. Very decent all round performer across gaming and even music. Solid build and very durable, as with most beyerdynamic models.

I am lucky to have Aryas, 1990s and hd800s and obviously that's a different class, but for 5x the price. For 2-300 bucks, they're a good choice. Not wireless, however, if that matters to you.

Amazing, I was in the market for a new PC closed back gaming headphone and was just lamenting over how the poor build quality issues with Penrose and Mobius, the Maxwell design looks like it has taken all the criticisms from the previous models and addressed them.

I mainly got them cause of the H1 chip and integration with my Apple devices (I am balls deep in the ecosystem basically). I also wanted decent wireless headphones that didn’t have idiotic touch controls cough cough Sony cough cough and didn’t rely on a shitty app for updates and settings. cough cough also Sony cough cough. I also love the the build quality and after seeing the teardown and seeing the attention to detail on the inside I made up my mind

i dont understand the hate, its apple, its overpriced, but you get average/decent sound + spatial audio, AMAZING noise cancelling, really good transparency and its wireless, and its cheaper than focal bathys. Depending on OP's use case, these are superior in every way except for sound
