Not that impressed. I would have maybe thought about keeping the chus as cheapies, but non-removable tiny cable and bad fit for my ears made returning them an easy choice.

Didn't do anything for me that a 20$ KZ can't.

And tbh, the 'brand new' Arias showed up as a tangled mess of bent cable, and absolutely loaded with earwax. I threw them back in the box and had my refund less than 2 hours later.

I'll try blessing2's some time.

Had mine for a month now, dropped it a couple times. No issues other than the USB YouTube music bug, goes to static every few min, but that's being fixed with the next firmware release. Current work around is to just use BT, which has worked flawlessly.

They're my favorite audio thing ever. The best mids and vocals you'll find, along with enjoyable bass and mid bass for an open back. Treble is there but smooth, making them very easy and relaxing to listen to. They have an intimate sound stage, but I prefer that. They play just about everything well. I mostly listen to Heavy Metal, and the 6XXs are really fun to listen to it with. They can be used to chill with, and head bang to energetic music.

Comfort is another level. At first I hated the HD 6XXs, cause they had a head crushing clamp. Once I carefully bent the metal part of the headband, they perfectly sit on my head. I can wear them for 8 hours without any fatigue. Helps that they are very lightweight too.

They aren't built with premium feeling materials, and don't have the looks of Meze products, but they're still built to last.

I'm a bit curious about what OP has to say about this, but I also own both the Cadenzas and the 7Hz Zeros, and I personally like the Cadenzas more. The overall sound is more rich and "fun" in my experience, while the Zeros come off a bit too neutral for me. After listening to a few tracks by Roosevelt (synth pop stuff), the Zeros have very nice upper clarity, but I would agree with you on the bass response holding them back a bit. I feel like I like the Zeros for the vocal side of things, and the Cadenzas for the rhythm/bass side of things.

Not sure if I'd say the differences are big enough for the Cadenzas to be a considerable upgrade though. They both sound great to me, but after typing all of this up, I'm keeping the Cadenzas in my ears.

Hifiman just love making amazing sounding headphones, but making it impossible to use because of how shitty their QC and overall build quality is. I returned my Sundaras some time ago because within 2 weeks of use, the right side completely stopped working. I'm mostly sure it was because of the trash cable, but Hifiman can go fuck themselves if they think I'm gonna pay over $300 for headphones and still have to buy a separate cable. Been using my HD 6XXs over 8 hours a day for over a year, never had any issues.

What do the Cadenzas do better than the Zeros?

The thing that bugs me the most from the Zeros is their weak bass response on some tracks. I somewhat fixed that with some narrow-opening eartips (I use the oval ones from the Klipsch S4) and taping the front vent with clear tape. Have you tried that with your zeros? If so, how they compare with those fixes to the cadenzas? Been eyeing them, but idk if they are really a big upgrade.

Would recommend trying different earpads, stock is fine but I much prefer mine after getting some thicker pads. The swap is super easy too.

A shorter cable is also nice given how long the stock cable is.

It's a great headphone for the price. Going from bad closed backs to k240s felt like ascending to a higher level of music detail. Love the soundstage, the comfy fit & how it makes acoustic guitar sound.

Hope you enjoy em.

I just re-read the last part of your post where you talk about the impedance and sensitivity. Yeah, those are studios.

Great headphone. If you like the newer revisions, you would probably love the original Sextett. It does everything the revision does but better.

They are power hungry beasts at 600 ohms with like an 89 db/spl sensitivity, but definitely worth it. Been daily driving them for a couple of years now.
