Well, my modi and magni separately developed their own issues after a couple years. One not being recognized by my computer at all and the other having terrible l/r balance issues between 10 and 90% volume.Now I own the Atom+ stack now.

I would highly recommend staying away from Shiit amps, while most people never had problems with them, they have a major problems and can in rare occasions blow up your headphones

I would choose something else

I have had nothing but positive experiences with Schiit. I had a Magni/Modi stack that lasted me 6 years (sold them with no issues). I’m currently running a Bifrost2 and a Freya with no issues (3 years). I also have had good experience with customer service, I bought a Valhalla2 and decided I didn’t like it (personal taste, the unit was fine), and after emailing them outside the return window, they still allows me to return it for a full refund.

Because its free to try them and return them, and I wanted to see how different 'upgraded' versions are.

I did the same with the ZSN and ZSN Pro X.

Basically, if you can't use EQ, the tuned versions could be useful, but otherwise you can basically achieve the same sound in either version, depending on your EQ.

Purely wondering how much better an IEM can sound. Out of my over-ears, IEMs, and actual speakers, the Etymotics are the lowest performing.

If it helps, I returned every single pair when they didn't impress me as much as the Shures and Etymotics I've had for years.

haven't heard the CRA og, but the CRA+ has a god awful bass boost that is pretty much hardcooked into the IEM, EQ doesn't do much to take care of it.l

No contest for me at least. Zero has a big 11k spike for me that completely kills the timbre. Quarks has smooth treble and the upper treble is somewhat subdued. If it just had a little more from about 9-14k without any peaks it would be perfect the way my Dusk is after applying EQ but as-is without EQ (user applied EQ at least) it may be the best sounding audio device I have heard yet.

I ordered some about a year and a half ago and can confirm that the company exists and they did send me some in ear monitors. At that time customer service was pretty responsive but it wasn't Christmas time so they may have been less busy.

This sub is way too dangerous.

It's probably all very subjective then. Saw people preferring the 1000Se over 800s on some forums, but I should hope so, the price difference is massive. I only have the Edition XS, but I really like them.

Mine's been running solidly for a year. I thought I would use the equaliser a bit more but it turns out I like the stock sound of my headphones. Knowing this I kinda wish I'd got a different BT product with better button feel. But the Qudelix does the trick and has survived being dropped a LOT

Why’d you bother with getting 2 different DQ6’s? I have a pair myself.

Hifiman does have some issues, but tens of thousands have used their stuff for years without any issue as well. I have 5 Hifimans now snd had two more before and no problems whatsoever.
