Great song, easily one of my favorite from Sabaton.

The movie did leave it open that others have taken part in such a thing, so I wouldn't be too surprised if it does come around.

It feels like this is a case of a poorly worded title, something like "discovery of lost chapter sheds new light" etc etc would be be better.

I could imagine someone expecting a simple war memoir would find it a tough read, but if you want a somewhat fictionalized account of a very strange Englishman who was really Working Through Stuff then it is a strong recommendation.

Now we need a Rasputin: Vampire Hunter sequel to Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

Just started up the liberation trilogy and already blazing through An Army At Dawn. Great read so far.
Looking to go way back in time and learn more about the Mycenaeans and Minoans after this trilogy. Any good book recommendations?

Rounded seem more common on dedicated warships (at least for Spain,) being able to place more cannons at the front, but the type was never really satisfactory, so there were many attempts to adjust the design to something that would work.

There is clearly no shortage of contemporaneous content for that.

Right. How can you find a book with a scene where the author rearranges bodies in the moonlight tedious? The entire thing was engrossing and often quite haunting.

Anarchistic governance would be less about "do whatever you want", and more "dismantle hierarchies that let those on top do whatever they want."
So, if there's a bunch of folks who need protection and are banding together to do so, supplies, support and training should be directed towards them, and means by which the community can participate in and regulate the self defense force established.

TE Lawrence and the Arab revolts were during the First World War which gave us the messed up Middle Eastern borders we have today

Wrong world war.
Also the fact that the Arab states were up for grabs by whatever army controlled them when the war ended is kind of the point here. It was the British (and French) army that grabbed them.

Medieval houses often used lots of whitewash, including the interiors, which would have made them look a fair bit better than the usual shit-brown huts, and we're finding new evidence of more extensive use of light colours for interiors, including things like distemper which were naturally yellow, or yellow-ish. This would also help the interiors look better when interior lighting was much more limited.
Clothes could easily be dyed bright colours, but colour fade would have been a much more important factor, and of course they tended to see far more wear and tear. There would be vast differences between the clothes of the different classes, with some colours/shades only being available to the wealthy, but even disregarding that, the workmanship and quality of the clothes (and in some times and styles, the sheer quantity of cloth), not to mention the dyeing itself, would be worlds apart.

While still keeping in mind that, functionally, most people who go on about anything close to "big government" are actually arguing against safety nets and accountability
