I've got a bunch of MFi certified cables that just don't work now... and though it's not a massive problem, it seems quite strange to me. Could I have damaged the MFi sensor or something? I suppose it's possible the back glass replacement had nothing to do with it, but I find that difficult to believe. Everything else is working fine.

Hard to say without looking at device, please double (triple?) check the port itself, any debris or something? Did you change the back yourself? Could also just that the connector wasn’t plugged back in correctly….

I did change the back glass myself… though i did not (at least intentionally) disconnect anything to do so. I did my best to clean the port out thoroughly… I don’t believe that is the issue, as it worked fine just previous to the back glass replacement… it also seems like if the official apple charger with official charging block works than that would suggest that it is not that the charging port is disconnect.

Thankfully I can still use wireless charging and apple certified charges with an apple powerblock… but I’d love to be able to use generic power blocks and all the MFi I already have.

Thanks very much for your suggestions.

The triple check for debris was it! I gave it a good brushing and scraping… but I guess my pursed lips don’t do as good a job at dust and small debris eviction as a legit air compressor with an air pic just did! Thank you!!! There was barely anything in there… but it did the trick anyway.

I peeled the glass off… Twas quite arduous, but I didn’t want to disconnect anything if I didn’t have to… and the glass replacement was super cheap.
