I have my iPhone through T-Mobile and have their insurance for $18 a month. I can get AppleCare plus for $13.50 a month. T-Mobile insurance includes AppleCare but what am I missing why pay more through T-Mobile? I don’t care about jump as I keep a phone for 2 years.

Via carriers phones are usually more expensive because of the minimum 60$ plans

Look at what the deductible is. Also, I believe it just includes AppleCare not AppleCare+. So make sure your know exactly what you’re doing.

You could take a look at Upsie, and pay a smaller lump-sum. I've used them before, but luckily haven't had a claim. I do know that they've been around a while, so you can check ratings and reviews. Right now I have Apple Care+ that I got directly from Apple. Don't like the idea of paying monthly for insurance, but each to their own :-).
