It’s acceptable for it to heat up quite abit when charging especially with a 20w fast charger compared to a 5w.

My phone behaves the same, gets pretty warm while charging till 65% mark and then it cools down right after that. I dont think that’s an issue though.

I've noticed it with my 14 Pro as well.

I usually see it with my podcasting app and only notice when my phone throws an alert saying charging will resume when the phone temperature returns to normal.

My old phone was a XS and started getting them frequently around iOS 16 as well, but that seemed reasonable because it was an older device and I would get them when it was being put in strenuous situations (like being used in the sun in the car for GPS and music).

Seeing it on my 14 Pro, while it's charging in my 68 degree office that's no where near sun while just listening to a podcast seems like a flaw.

Yeah I just did a little research and apparently repair shops have some new tech that’ll laser the back adhesives off through the glass and it’ll just pull off like it was never attached. Really bringing down final costs.

It would be almost impossible for this to occur. Not technologically, but practically. There’s so many contact points in a supply chain that a significant number of people would need to be on board for it to go undetected.

If you want to be 110% sure you can perform a Recovery Mode Restore when you purchase the phone, and before you set it up. This means the iPhone will have to go through ‘Activation’ where it registers and checks settings with Apple. If the software and/or cellular hardware has been tampered with it’ll fail Activation and brick the phone.

Everyone please… Camera lens protectors go a long way especially with the 14 Pro Max. Massive design flaw for them to keep the cameras unprotected. They should have raised the metal lip around each lens. As for the back glass… ye. Glass is Glass and Glass breaks unfortunately
