If it was replaced threw the genius bar, it was a replacement unit. (Could be new, could be new with reused parts harvested from returned devices) I worked as a genius for more years than I like to admit. The phone you got is good. I have owned several replacement units over the years. If you have problems apple will fix them.

>exchange the Covered Equipment with a replacement product that is new or comprised of new and/or previously used genuine Apple parts and has been tested and passed Apple functional requirements. All replacement products provided under this Plan will at a minimum have the same or substantially similar features (e.g., a different model with the same features, or the same model in a different color) as the original product. If Apple exchanges the Covered Equipment, the original product becomes Apple’s property and the replacement product is your property, with coverage effective for the remainder of the Plan Term. Apple may use Covered Devices or replacement parts for service that are sourced from a country that is different from the country from which the Covered Device or original parts were sourced.

iPhone 7 is outdated and will no longer get new updates. If you have the option just replace it

Why are you switching to iOS? I ask because I'm a recent adopter (in the last 3 months) on account of the mini being the only small form factor phone with a decent camera. That's the only feature i cared about that i couldn't find something better in Android so I'm taking a chance on iOS. So far I'm disappointed with iOS limitations, to the point that i would have returned it if I wasn't so pleased with the perfect size of the iphone mini.

I would say the regular iPhone 12 but you mention your budget is limited, so for the best mix of battery life and usability the iPhone 11 wins. Although you do end up with a not as sharp or bright LCD screen and no 5G, but the phone is still plenty fast, solid battery life and great cameras while having night mode on the main sensor. The 12 mini has atrocious battery life and he SE isn’t much better while having a dated design.

Go for the best iPhone your budget will allow. Of the 3 you listed I used iPhone 11 for year and wasn’t disappointed. Solid performer with good battery life, cameras not too shabby either

To name a couple, SirusXM and Teams. It's ok I did a one time update to iOS 16.2 but will not update again before I switch phones.

Thanks all for the help. Hopefully this thread will help anyone else who has this question.
