Yeah, I got the sense that the porting HAS to be in a Jio store to effect the shift. Good to know about the telling the origin story.

I'm going to see what I can get from Singapore, as lots of friends go back and forth from there, some coming next month.

Which phone did you buy? And does it have both eSIM and a slot for miniSiM?

Thank you. What I did was shut off the iCloud for contacts and then it now says iPhone. And then below that it says all iPhone with the number of contacts. If I click on that it will then show me all of the contacts. It shows of course my name and then says my card underneath that. Perhaps that's the way it should work. There is on the top left it says lists. If I click on that it just allows you to edit or add a list. It then says lists and under that iPhone with a down arrow and beneath that is like I mentioned before all iPhone with the number of contacts with a right arrow that you then click on and you see all of the contacts.

Meanwhile, Android phones equivalent to the iPhone 6 will continue getting app updates probably forever due to the fundamental open nature of Android.

Yeah I'm just gonna go to Apple and get it replaced. I honestly thought it was way more expensive to get apple to replace it, but on their website it estimates $80 in my country. That's literally what I paid for the non-genuine apple repair. Am I missing some hidden costs?? I really thought it was like double the price

EDIT: My closest Apple Authorized Repair shop quotes $130 for an 11pro battery replacement. Whatevs. If there 1year warranty I can always come back if the fucker starts swelling again

If you ever decide to go back to Android I'd have a look at the Asus ZenPhone 9. It's a tiny little phone with surprisingly great cameras.

I'll be converting to iOS tomorrow when my 14 Pro arrives. I haven't owned an iPhone since the 3G was released. What limitations have you experienced outside of customization?

Cost to replace a battery in a iPhone 11 at an Apple store with a genuine Apple batt was $69 .. don’t know how much you’re paying to replace with a aftermarket batt but im sure by now you would’ve paid less by just replacing with a Genuine Apple battery.. Not to mention you get a 1 year warranty with Apple 🤷

Jailbreaking and customizing has always seemed like a lot of effort for not a lot of payback, but if no small Android crops up in the next year and this becomes a long term device I just might get that inclination. If I could have a Pixel interface on my iPhone i would call it perfect.
