Sure that’s great and all but what happens when your device with all your banking info/travel plans/email accounts are there at the fingertips of a thief? Then after they fraudulently use your accounts to take whatever you have electronically they wipe your phone and sell it. I’d rather have my shit locked down. Of course my wife has my passcode in case of emergencies.

Hi! I’m a fellow iPhone 7 user. The battery is usually meant to be replaced several times over the course of the phones lifetime, has it been replaced before? Is the battery the only component that needs to be replaced? For me, the rest of the hardware works perfectly fine and I don’t care too much about discontinuation of apple support. If this is your first time replacing your battery I would think it’s worth it, however if you want to get a new phone you should definitely get an SE, as they are the same size and weight

If your phone has never been around abrasive dust, you're fairly safe. Just know that one small grain of sand or one fleck of metal could ruin your record.

Adhesive protectors also transmit light much better. That's why Apple switched from a replaceable floating glass outer layer to a bonded screen. Major loss for repairability, but it does look so much better.

That’s the problem. That’s OP’s complaint.

I don’t want it to guess. I want it to show me the picture exactly as I took it and not change it. I will edit it myself if I want it to look different.

Unfortunately it is not. The entry shows up for it in search as I posted in my screenshot in another comment, but the actual toggle is no longer there on my phone or iPad. It is still there on my MacBook and I keep it turned off.

Many comments, might have been mentioned, but unless you can see your (missing) notes in the web interface for iCloud and Gmail, they are gone. Only other possibility, as you likely stored some notes locally, would be if you have a device backup in iTunes/Finder, or - less likely - one in iCloud (remember the iCloud backup is dynamic and updates essentially every day). In case you have a iTunes/Finder backup:

  1. do an iCloud backup
  2. restore from your iTunes/Finder backup (immediately turn off iCloud backup so you don’t overwrite your fresh iCloud backup)
  3. when you have access to your Notes, move them from locally on your phone to iCloud or Gmail
  4. verify via web interface that they are there
  5. use your fresh iCloud backup to restore your phone back to ‘current’ stage - but with access to your (now in cloud) stored notes.
