That's correct. For me at least, I received my iPhone in the apple packaging which was in a plain looking brown cardboard box.

Twilight also works pretty well

What about people that turn on the “erase iPhone after 10 failed passcode attempts” option in settings. Would figure this would make things tuff for u guys.

Running out of storage. Restart phone and delete some things. I have the same problem.

No need to hard reset. It wont fix it because after restoring backup the storage will still be full.

When you re-enable iCloud for the contacts it should recognize existing contacts and not duplicate them. If any data was added or removed while iCloud was disabled then a best effort will be made to merge the data.

This tweet is poorly written, and my uninformed guess, is that the phone was unlocked with another unlocked Apple device, ie a macbook or watch.

Or its just straight up wrong.

This is very much possible ( based on my experience interacting with people daily in India).

I’ve seen it take a 6 passcode minutes and a 6 passcode take months. It just depends. Sometimes we get lucky with it. All depends on how many attempts it has to make to crack it

That's cool. Thank you. I did however shut off contacts in the iCloud and then it says if I turn them on it will merge them and I don't want to have double contacts. I guess I could go into the iCloud and delete contacts and then turn it on. What do you think and by the way I appreciate your expertise. Thanks again

It’s per contact. Mines always been off but suddenly after iOS 16 installed I had a few that somehow were turned on. No idea why but toggled of per contact and it fixed it.

We see phones with that all the time. Like I said, it sends a code to the device after 2 attempts and basically tells the computer of the device to erase the attempts, meaning the phone always thinks it’s either the first or second attempt.

Not just that, but location data from the vehicle (if connected to car play, android auto or on star type services) and a bunch of other data. It’s amazing. We actually used that program for the first time earlier this year. A couple of our guys went to the training.

Supposedly it would also give a call log, searched locations, messages that came through and others. It’s getting to where we are finally catching up to technology lol

Are you sure you deleted the app and not just the icon of the app? Also, it took awhile when I hooked up my mil’s apple watch for everything to sync. Wait a bit and see if it starts importing more. I feel apple sync is very slow.

Ya problem with shipping items. I always prefer to pick up the devices in store. Removes all these issues. I despise the online system we have today and Courriers are damn annoying. Always missing deliveries. Marking delay because they simply didn't want to go up stairs if it's a large building. Just leaving tags for you to go to a pick up location. I just had a shipment and the nerve of them to hold it at the shipment center and not even deliver it

I'm at the point where I am not liking any case I purchased. When I had the iPhone 12 Pro, I cycled through many cases depending on what I have going on that day. Now, I just can't seem to like any case. I have the Spigen optik armor, Spigen Ultra Hybrid, Caudabe Sheath, Ringke Fusion Matte and Catalyst Influence.

I lean towards the Catalyst case because of that tapered edge but the case itself just feels wider. Does anyone else feel the same way? Maybe I gotta keep trying cases til I find the right one.

There's a lot of stuff you can do in digital forensics, all you need is a degree in the IT field.
